Happy Friday, my friends,
For my last in the series of styling with white jeans, I am an outfit styled with soft colors and heels. As I have said before, white jeans are easily dressed up or down.
For this look, I am once again wearing my Lands End jeans. My pink silk top was purchased a couple of years ago at Nordstrom. I love the sheer yoke below the neckline and the tunic length. I have styled it in the summer with crop pants and sparkly flip flops. Other countries call them by other names which are kind of fun. In New Zealand they are called “jandals” (short for Japanese sandals). They’re “thongs” in Australia and “plakkies” in South Africa. Just a little trivia for your Friday enjoyment!
My taupe jacket is another little purchase I made at my local hair salon–Salon Zinnia. That boutique gets me every time! They stock some very cute pieces that are both original and fairly inexpensive. The jacket can be either left open as I am showing or zipped up. I love the shorter length in back!
My pink kitten heels are a real favorite! They are showing up this spring as the “new neutral” in place of nude heels. I have used these light pink heels as a neutral for many outfits including navy suits, patterned dresses, etc. Do you have a pair of pink heels in your wardrobe?
My bag is an older clutch that I probably purchased at T.J. Maxx some time ago. It is one of those great pieces I pull out from time to time and helps tie this look together.
I decided to show how easily this look can be made more casual. So I changed out the heels for my Vince Camuto booties, always a standby, removed the long necklace and replaced the sparkly earrings with gold loops. I also put my unruly hair in a low ponytail–it just doesn’t do too well with this damp weather! Many of the hairdos this spring are showing pulled back styles with loose, unstyled hair around the face. Works for me!
I hope you have some fun plans for the weekend, which may include curling up with a good book by the fire if we have the kind of rain that it being predicted here! Naturally, I have LOTS to do this weekend including directing an educational academy and a baby shower! Should be fun!
