I hope your weekend was wonderful!
According to Urban Dictionary, velvet is “One who can be smooth and loveable, or especially cuddly.” Isn’t that the perfect description of how one feels when styling something made of velvet? There is just something about wearing velvet that makes you feel a bit elegant, isn’t there? I mean, after all, velvet has long been the fabric worn by kings and queens, right?!
This tunic top in a muted plum shade is so soft and comfortable! You can see it here in a beautiful tan shade. I am styling it with my Paige Jeans, but it would look super cute with leggings. The asymmetrical hem is perfect for leggings, in fact!
Being a bit on the short side, some scarves are just TOO much for me, so I am always on the lookout for scarves with a lighter fabric or just less overall fabric. This purple plaid infinity scarf worked perfectly for that reason. I bought it at the Loft outlet store but found almost the exact same scarf at a VERY reasonable price on Amazon–check it out here.
Add a black suede bag (here is a cute one on sale from Sole Society), gold hoop earrings (these are my favorite by gorjana) and a cuff bracelet (similar here) and you are ready for any holiday event that comes your way!
I have had these Lucky Brand open-toe booties (available on sale!) since last Fall, and I still love them. There are lots of versions out there and I especially love the open-toe style.
Well, it has been five weeks in this boot, and I want to thank you for hanging in there with me as I try to show how to style outfits WITH the boot! I guess I want to say we can all still be stylish and look our best no matter what we are going through and fashion is always fun! At least I can now walk in the boot with my crutches. It has become so weak, however, that I don’t know how long before it will feel normal again: as in being able to step on it with a bare foot and wearing real shoes! Oh, that will be heaven!
