Boots, that is!! With our still-cool weather and cloudy skies, I couldn’t wait to style my bright blue velvet boots with today’s outfit. I’ve included them in a couple of posts in the winter and they are my go-to booties for fun days. Do you have a favorite piece that just makes you feel good?
These photos were taken from the park by my house. Don’t you just love the way my booties match the big toy? lol! The day was gloomy and gray just until it came time to take the pictures, and bam–the sun came out! I started out our little photo session in my green trench coat, then switched to my jean jacket as it warmed up.
Trench coats were big this past winter and this spring, particularly in a basic tan shade. I bought this one in the fall in green, in honor of the Pantone color of the year: greenery. But honestly, I just love a bright spring green. It is truly my favorite color.
My striped sheath dress is a sleeveless dress from Lands End that I tend to wear on warmer days, but you can see how easy it is to add a jacket or even a blazer to wear it more often. I love the combination of navy, green and white.
My bag is one you’ve seen before if you’ve been following my posts. It is a unique bag my husband bought for me on our trip to Budapest, and the green, blue and yellow leather makes it very versatile. And fun!
There are SO many ways to wear a jean jacket, and I like the cropped shape of this one from Chico’s. I was counting the number of denim jackets in my closet and came up with six!! They really do last forever, and never go out of style.
Taking these pictures took me down memory lane. I remember when we first moved here, twenty years ago. My son was four years old, and this is the first place we came! Such great memories!
I am eagerly waiting and hoping for a weather warm-up so I can share some summer looks with all of you. As always, I would love to hear from you: what are your favorite summer pieces? You can send me all of your comments and ideas by clicking on the Comments line at the top of the post.
