For today’s post, I am styling the featured Old Navy sundress very casually. I really like the simplicity and the drape of the fabric in this dress, and can see it getting lots of use in the next months.
To add to this look, I am styling my new hat by Eric Javits at Nordstrom. At almost $200, this hat is definitely pricey. But this designer is well very known and respected and the hat is SPF 50 and is of very high quality. Because my hair is light, it really bleaches out and dries out in the sun and I have struggled to find just the right size in a hat. I have a few fedoras but they don’t really do the job in the sun. The bigger-brimmed hats just look out of proportion on me. When I saw this hat, it seemed just right. I had to order the medium tan shade, but they also have a light tan and a darker, brownish weave hat. They also sell the skinny scarfs in a number of fun colors. For now, I added the navy scarf which I can change up as needed.
In this photo, you can see the cute cutout in the back of the dress. Just enough to make it fun, but not too hard to wear a bra!
My slip-on shoes are so fun! They are made by a Spanish designer, Plomo, and the suede is soft and so comfortable!
You could wear this as a beach cover, too. Then, to change it up, you could also add a belt and go to a casual lunch or dinner.
My belt is an old one from Chico’s and my flip-flops are also old ones that I probably picked up at Target.
I am totally feeling ready for summer–how about you?
I hope I have given you some ideas for expanding your wardrobe by simply adding some pieces to change up your look. I would love to hear how you do the same!
Enjoy your Thursday. Only one more day until the weekend!! Woohoo!
