Have you noticed all the jogger pants appearing this Spring? If you are like me, your initial thought was probably, not for me. After getting a pair in a Trunk Club selection, I’ve decided they are a piece you will find worth adding to your wardrobe.
For one thing, jogger pants, sometimes called track pants, come in many colors and fabrics. A pair of knitted joggers works as an ultra-casual look, like wearing a version of sweatpants. Here are some versions of those:
But if you want to try something a bit dressier, try them in another fabric, like linen, a rayon-blend, or even a woven fabric, like these:
Now let’s take a look at the three ways I’ve styled these joggers.
3 Ways to Style Jogger Pants
The pair I’m styling for you today is a linen version in that goes-with-everything color, navy. Navy is one of the fashion neutral colors. That means it can be worn with any other color, so it’s a very handy color for mix-and-match purposes, making it a classic wardrobe staple.
These track pants in linen give you lots of options for styling them up or down. They come in five colors. They will carry over into the summer season with this cooling fabric.
A Casual Outfit
When you feel like wearing sweats but want to dress up your look a tad, these are a perfect choice. By just changing the shoes and adding a casual top, you’ve created an easy look for everyday style.
A cute stripe top is a spring and summer must-have. This one has a ruffled petal sleeve detail to give it an updated look.
These super cute animal print platform sneakers add a little pop of pattern mixing and a bit of fun to this basic outfit.
A Classic Look
A neutral raincoat is a classic with any look. Styled with track pants and kitten heels, the outfit takes on an updated look while maintaining the classic feel.
A white silk shirt is a perfect accompaniment to this classic outfit. And leopard print kitten heels provide that bit of pop.
I styled this raincoat last fall in the post Too Early to Talk Raincoats?. A neutral trenchcoat is one of those “10 most important pieces to have in your wardrobe” items. If you still want one at a great price, try this hooded trench coat in four neutral shades.
Bold earrings give the final touch to the classic look. These gold disc earrings are from Kendra Scott.
A Workwear Look
For this outfit, I styled the joggers with an unconstructed knit blazer. I have this blazer in three colors and love how easy it is to style for a professional look or with jeans and sneakers. It’s also lightweight so is great for warm weather or for ladies who get too warm. You know what I mean! Haha!
Knit Blazer (comes in 3 colors!)
A simple short-sleeve tee in a silky fabric is also a piece that you can use to dress up or dress down any outfit.
The neutral slingbacks give you some height while the chunky heel is comfortable. And this shoulder or crossover bag is useful in a neutral color.
The final touch, the colorful necklace, adds the pop of color that really changes the look of an outfit.
For my friends who prefer neutrals shades and mixing and matching those shades, these are easy-to-do outfits. Once again, to update an outfit, add an unexpected piece or a trend that you enjoy, like these linen jogger pants. You will be both classically stylish and trendy–a perfect fashion combination!

I really like the way you styled your joggers. I’ve definitely been one of those “not my style” people, but you’ve made me rethink that — so fabulous.
Hi, Daenel,
Yes, I felt the same way! But it turned out they are both comfortable and stylish–a win/win! You would look super cute in them! I’ll watch for you styling a pair.

Thanks so much, Ruth. I honestly didn’t expect to like them at all! Just goes to show you that you have to try things before making judgments, right?
Happy Wednesday!
