Can you even believe Thanksgiving is in just two weeks??!! I don’t know why, but this year feels like it’s going even faster than usual! Do you have your outfit picked out? I know it depends on what you are doing that day, and where you are going, and who you are celebrating with, right? Since we will spend our holiday with family, it’s on the casual side, so I will be wearing this cute mustard top and jeans outfit.
You have seen this print before. Just in case it looks a bit familiar to you! Lol! I styled a cute mustard dress in this pattern in this post. If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you know that I am a big fan of yellow, and mustard is right up my alley! And mustard is such a beautiful Autumn color as it mimics the yellow shades of the changing leaves. And yes, some of our trees do change colors in the fall, even here in Southern California!
The mustard top outfit
This yellow long-sleeve top sports an all-over pattern of pearl-and chain-like designs in white, so it looks super with gray. And gray is another one of those great Autumn shades! I love the look and feel of this chiffon-like fabric; it makes a basic top like this feel just a bit special.
This top is one of those amazing Target pieces from their A New Day line. So many cute pieces, and so inexpensive! The same is true of this adorable cross-body bag! The mustard yellow is my color of choice but it also comes in three other colors that will go with so many things in anybody’s wardrobe. Check it out! They have lots of cute bags that you can pick up inexpensively.
Because this top is sheer, it does require a cami underneath. This cami by Halogen is a great choice and comes in lots of colors for just $19.
Do you have a tassel necklace or two in your jewelry box? If so, bring them out! I still find lots of uses for this gray and pearl tasseled version! They add interest and texture to a basic top or sweater and I love the way this one plays against the chain pattern on the top. You can find a cute inexpensive one here.
Gray jeans and booties
You may remember these fun split-hem jeans from an earlier post. Shocker!! I styled them with a yellow sleeveless top in this post! Haha! Did I say I like yellow? This style is no longer available, but there are lots of very nice gray jeans in all price ranges, as I’ve indicated below.

These booties actually came in a Stitch Fix selection last summer and I love them! They are low enough to be comfortable for a long day like Thanksgiving, but stylish enough to help carry the outfit. Low-heeled booties are so comfy, and still so stylish–it’s a twofer!

I imagine you are planning your Thanksgiving dinner and this weekend it’s time to start putting your menu together! I am excited this year’s holiday is at someone else’s house! It’s fun to have the nieces and nephews married with kids of their own hosting this holiday and I am going to enjoy spending time with family. The countdown is on!
We do have so much to be thankful for! Like, the unconditional love we get from our pets. Here, with Sergeant and Scooter.
Thanks for stopping by today. I would love to hear about your holiday plans? What are you planning to wear? How will you spend your holiday? And–very important–what special foods are you looking forward to? Drop me a note in the comments below. I love to hear from you ladies!

Everything about this look is lovely. Great details – design in the top and those pants too. You have a great style!
Hi Carrie,
Thank you for your sweet comments! I enjoy your style, too! Have a wonderful week-before-Thanksgiving!

This outfit is so cute! I love that top! I always agonize over what to wear for Thanksgiving because I’m the cook and I’m always a hot sweaty mess. I usually opt for something short sleeve.
Hi Amy,
Yes, I know exactly what you mean! Since I’m not cooking this year–a new concept!!–I opted for this top. And to help with dishes, I can easily roll up the sleeves! Haha!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving–it’s less than 10 days!!
xx Darlene
