Can you believe it’s November already? Fall is in full swing and it’s definitely sweater weather at last! While sweaters can have a decidedly casual look and feel, they can also dress up a look, as in this pink duster outfit.
Just by adding a pink sweater you’ve created a feminine look. And in a longer length, you add a touch of drama to an outfit as I have in this pink duster outfit.
The Pink Duster Outfit
Outfit Details
This outfit combines a new blouse and shoes with jeans and a duster sweater already in my closet. I love to find new pieces that I know will go with things I already have in my wardrobe!
This is the kind of outfit that would be perfect for a fall party, dinner with friends, or even for your Thanksgiving outfit. Of course, if you are the hostess and are cooking the dinner, the sweater would have to wait for after the dinner and the cleanup. And you might even need to roll up the sleeves!
The soft colors in the paisley blouse add to the feminine look of this outfit. Date night anyone? With the ruffle at the neck, the tie-neck, and the blousy sleeves, the top has a romantic feel. And it’s fully lined, making a camo unnecessary. Love that!
The pink duster was a purchase from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale several years ago. It’s not overly heavy, making it a great layering sweater. It first appeared in the post, Putting It All Together with a Long Cardigan. Here are some similar long pink dusters at great prices:
You’ve seen these Frame split-hem jeans in lots of previous posts. They are still a favorite of mine! Of course, you could substitute any grey jeans or pants for these and still have a beautiful look. Your favorite jeans would also look great with this blouse, whether they are a dark, medium, or light wash. The colors in the top are so versatile making it a good look with so many colors.
My pink tote bag is another old favorite. I probably picked it up at TJ Maxx some time ago. It’s one of those bags you hang onto as there as lots of outfits to style it with. And, it holds lots of my stuff when I need that.
The Shoes
OK, I have had my eye on these shoes for a LONG time. The first time I saw them, my niece was wearing a pair in a light tan. Since then, I’ve seen them all over the place in lots of colors. They are fully leather and are very well made. However, they are pricey, which is why I held off for so long. I love the look of them so much, that I finally closed the deal and picked up a pair.
I think of these shoes as “Southern California” style, as I will wear them year-round, except for an exceptionally cold day. They are flats making them super comfortable and they can go with casual or dressier looks. If you love them as much as I do, you can also try them in less expensive brands. I’m featuring various price points here:
Darlene, this is such a pretty outfit! I love the soft color palette paired with the dark gray jeans. And the split hem is so cool especially with those insanely adorable sandals. Every little detail of this outfit is perfectly styled! Thanks for joining my link party!
