Happy Wednesday, my friends,
Continuing with my pink theme, I am styling a basic pink graphic tee. It is an example of the soft or blush pink that is trending this spring. Since the lettering is silk-screened in a silver gray, I decided to pair it with my silver coated jeans, by NYDJ.
I am once again wearing my Flexx loafers, which are silver/bronze. As it’s still a bit on the cool side–yet sunny!!–I added my trusty cropped jean jacket from Chico’s.
My pink bag is one I actually bought onboard our cruise ship in December. I loved the two-tone pink and that it is a shoulder bag. I was also intrigued because of the brand. It is a product by Carlos Santana and a portion of the profits go to his family foundation, the Milagro Foundation. I learned that the Milagro Foundation benefits underserved and vulnerable children around the world in the areas of education, health and the arts. Here is their website, if you are interested: www.milagrofoundation.org. I have seen other clothing items at by Santana at Macy’s and TJ Maxx. Talk about a blast from the past! Anybody else remember “Black Magic Woman” or “Evil Ways?” Classics.
I also want to share some info about my necklace and bracelet. Both were gifts from my friends in Laguna Beach when I “retired” and are from a very special shop, called Patti Jo Designs. The owner, aka the “Mother of Pearls,” is known for her beautiful, originally designed pieces. Shes’s a lovely lady and can make just about anything you might want. Her shop is in Laguna Beach.
So, you can see how easy it is to integrate a pink shade for spring without spending a lot of money. I would love to see any pictures from you all styling YOUR pink!! Please comment below and add your photo! There are some truly photogenic ladies out there and I know who you are!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I would love it if you would “like” or “share” my post with your friends.
Warmly,
Darlene
