With spring just around the corner, it’s time to think about adding some fresh looks to your wardrobe. And you don’t have to break the bank to do it. There are so many affordable floral dresses for spring available, and today I’m sharing three of them.
The first official day of Spring this year is March 19th. Yes, less than ten days away! It will be summer before we know it with time flying by so fast.
What says spring better than florals, right? You may have noticed that a lot of the floral dresses available are long and loose-fitting. Kind of the “granny” style as we used to call them. Am I aging myself? Haha! They are very cute and would look great if you are tall and thin, or maybe short and super then. Unfortunately, they look frumpy on me. So I’m sticking with some more classic styles that you can wear year after year.
Here are three affordable floral dresses that you can pick up for spring.
Affordable Floral Dresses for Spring
Halter Dress
The first dress, an abstract floral halter dress, is probably my favorite. I’m a sucker for a halter top on anything. Even though I’m pretty washed-out-white skinned this winter, I still like the look. It can only get better with a little color on my skin, right? Lol!
Neutral pumps are essential in any wardrobe. Even though I didn’t include them in my 7 Essentials post as I went with casual pieces, they are a must-have. My guess is you already have at least one pair in your closet. If not, here is a similar nude pump.
Don’t you love the back tie-neck? So cute.
As the floral print is in muted tones on a cream background, you can add a jacket or sweater in lots of colors, including ivory, peach or coral, mint or a darker green, or bronze as I have here. Since spring weather isn’t always very warm in its earliest days, a sweater or jacket is a must. So I generally look for a dress that goes well with a jacket.

Babydoll Floral Dress

Oh how I love the easy breezy feeling of lightweight dresses in warm weather! You have shared a beautiful collection of spring dresses, Darlene. I really love the last one with the tiny floral print and baby doll style! So adorable. Thanks for linking up.

I agree. And I am SO ready for some spring style! Alas, we are having our much-needed spring rain–I can’t complain but I am ready for some warm weather and more sun! Thanks, Shelbee. Have a great day!

Hi Darlene
You are the Target Fashion Master! YOu find such great things there! I have been buying a few dresses there myself on-line, but our weather is not Spring yet. It has been so dismal here – no sun, lots of rain and grey these past 2.5 months! I love the print in the white dress with the bits of blue and how you styled with yellow pumps. All look beautiful! I am working on my closet tofay!
thanks for liniking!

Well, the photos online from Target don’t usually look too good, do they? So I have to try things, usually after visiting the store where things look very different! Right after that post, we started this period of on-and-off rain, too! We get periods of sun in between, but it does make taking blog pictures challenging, doesn’t it? This is that odd time of year where I’ll share summerish-type items one day and sweater outfits the next! Lol!
Thanks, Jess. Have a great week,
xx Darlene
These dresses are all beatiful and you look amazing in them. Love the swirl one especially. It looks so different than what one sees typically.
Thanks, Nicole. Yes, I like finding things that are a bit different at this stage of my life! Take good care during this challenging time.

Thanks, Michele. But wouldn’t you know it, we are having almost 10 days of rain in the forecast!! But I will be happy when spring is truly here!

I love wearing dresses and it’s nice to see some of yours too. Thank you for joining me on the #linkup. Jacqui
Something about spring just makes dresses seem like the right thing to wear, doesn’t it? You do wear some cute dresses on your blog, Jacqui! Thanks for hosting!

Your halter top dress is gorgeous! I always think a halter top is so elegant but I don t wear it myself. It doesn t look good on me. Yes almost spring but it is still very cold here. And rainy, we get so tired of the rain over here!
Ugh, this is that time of year when the weather can’t decide what to do! It’s been sunny and mild but this week we’re supposed to have rain. We do need it here as it’s been a dry winter. I’ll bet you would look great in a halter with your cute figure, Nancy! But it has to feel right, I know.
Have a great week,
xx Darlene
