With all the amazing sales right now, you can find almost anything you like at a decent price. These affordable sweaters, however, are available through Amazon where the prices are always great.
To be honest, I am often skeptical of shopping for clothes on Amazon. How about you? The selection can be overwhelming and sizes are hard to determine. Besides that, I try to shop at local stores whenever possible as I don’t want to fill Jeff Bezo’s pockets even more! Lol! But I have to admit that we do succumb when you can find that certain thing you need right away (clothing or otherwise) and have it brought to your door in a matter of days. Sometimes hours!
The sweaters I’m sharing today are pieces that I have eyed online for some time. Both of them have appeared in posts by other bloggers and I admired them when I saw them. So, I finally bit the bullet (hmm, have to look up that expression–it sounds awful!) and purchased both of them. Both are quality pieces at an affordable price point.
So if you are in the market for an affordable sweater that looks expensive, check these out!
Turtleneck Tunic Sweater
If you think you’ve seen me in tunics lately, you are not wrong! I shared a couple of cute finds in the post Comfort and Style in a Tunic Top. Tunics are such an easy choice for a casual look that is also very chic. For the holidays this year, we will all be celebrating in a more relaxed way, and eagerly awaiting a new year (goodbye 2020!), and a tunic top outfit can definitely fit the bill.
Tunic Top | Leopard Mules (similar)
For the winter months, I’ve long been a turtleneck fan. After seeing the movie Something’s Gotta Give (Yikes–that was in 2003!!) where Diane Keaton wore turtlenecks year-round in her conservative character role, I always laugh when I put one on!
The beauty of this particular sweater is that it combines both elements of turtleneck and tunic. Can’t beat that, right? And it has a super cute shape. You can wear it with leggings if you are concerned about covering your rear (always a plus!) or with jeans or skinny pants as I have here.
I wore it last week with my favorite Ponte leggings and slides for my take-out birthday dinner celebration. Any fellow Sagittarians out there?
This affordable sweater comes in 29–yes, 29!–colors and color combinations, I had a difficult time choosing so I went with white, but I am still considering this color blocked version:
I think it would look amazing with olive pants! Or, dark jeans, or any color jeans for that matter. What do you think?
For sizing, I am wearing my usual size small. It is a loose boxy style. It’s available in sizes XS-XXL so it should work for anybody.
Chevron Sweater
I’ve been admiring this chevron sweater for quite some time. Blue and white sweaters have long been a favorite of mine, and I tend to pick up one version or another almost every spring. The color combination is so fresh!
Chevron Sweater | Chain Necklace
This sweater definitely runs a bit large. I ordered my usual size small and you can see that it’s roomy. The length is also a bit longer, at least on my 5’3″ frame. I was able to manage a partial tuck, but after seeing the photos, I will stick to wearing it out. It makes me look short and stocky! Not a bad thing, but not what I was going for! I’m showing it both ways, so you can be the judge.
If you like a more fitted look, go down a size. The sweater comes in sizes small through XX-large.
It’s super soft and mostly cotton that feels great against your skin. It appears heavy but is actually a nice medium weight sweater.
This sweater is available in 16 color combos, which is typical of Amazon sweaters. The khaki tan color is very rich and would go with almost anything in your wardrobe. Here is an image:
At under $40 for each of these sweaters, you can’t go wrong. Especially when they look a great deal more expensive. Since they are in stock at Amazon, you can still order them for a great gift–even for you! Dressed up or down, a sweater outfit is a great choice for a cozy and casual holiday celebration or any time at all!
You’ve found some great sweaters Darlene, the oversized style suits you and the chevron design is fun! I’ve hardly ever bought fashion from Amazon, mainly because a lot of it seems to come from China and takes a long time to ship. I’d be more open to it if they gave country of origin and shipping time. Thanks for linking at #WowOnWednesday
Yes, I’m with you on all these things from China. I’m pretty selective when I shop on Amazon, but they are good for a few things here and there. Thanks, Gail. Happiest of holidays to you!

I have been living in turtleneck sweater tunics and leggings! So comfy and cute. That chevron sweater is very striking! I love the color on you. Great outfits, my friend. Thanks for linking!

This white jumper looks super on you, the style is perfect over your jeans. Thanks for sharing on the #linkup today. Jacqui x
Thanks, Jacqui. I’m kind of in a tunic stage right now! Cooler weather, holidays at home, it just feels right!

I love that chevron one! But actually I like all kinds of sweaters! So warm and cozy.
Me, too! It’s just so easy to throw on a sweater on a cool day, isn’t it? Thanks, Nancy.

Wow, I can’t believe the first one comes in 29 colors/color combos! That is so Amazon for you! Ha!! I love it, though and the slouchy yet polished fit it something that is so perfect for this year!

I know, right? Amazon selections can have such crazy amounts of versions of one item! I’ve really bought into the big and slouchy thing this year. I wonder what that means? Lol! Thanks, Carrie.
