Are you looking for a classic and classy sweater for the holidays? This is another amazing sweater by my new favorite designer, A New Day! Elbow length sleeves? Crewneck? Pearl embellishments? This adorable pearl embellished sweater has it all!
An all-black look is always classic and always right for any occasion. While I do tend toward color (can you say yellow, anyone?!! Haha!), an all-black outfit is another fall-back choice. So, for a recent work-related event, I chose this pearl embellished sweater outfit. When in doubt, wear black. You really can’t go wrong.
You also don’t have to spend a lot to get a classic look. This pearl-embellished sweater is the perfect example. Honestly, when I saw that it was around $25, I scooped it up. It also comes in gray. I had a hard time choosing!! Both are absolutely gorgeous and look like they cost a great deal more.
The Outfit
To keep the look current, I styled the pearl embellished sweater with wide-leg crops. These soft and comfy pants were featured in an earlier post: Buffalo Plaid Outfit Three Ways. In that post, I styled them with riding boots, a red plaid shirt, and a skinny neck scarf. They are so versatile and can be dressed up or down!
Since I was going for a classic look, I added my long pearls, wrapped into three strands. What is it about wearing pearls that makes you feel like are one classy chick? Whether worn by Barbara Bush or Audrey Hepburn, pearls just make any outfit look right.
I chose long gold earrings with little pearls to round out the look. And an updo hairdo, of course!
The bag choice was a bit tricky. FIrst I styled it with my cute little satchel with the faux fur handle. But it was just too much black. This bag with the bright embroidery gave it a little kick.
If you want a more casual look, this pearl embellished sweater would also look amazing with a pair of well-fitting jeans. Or with your favorite black jeans. For a dressier look, you could pair it with a pleated skirt in pink or blue to bring out the colors in the pearl embellishments.
Suede chunky heeled pumps (similar)
While booties or even leopard print heels would make a nice look, I stayed with the suede chunky heeled pumps. Pumps are another piece that says, “classic.” And the chunky heels make them wearable for longer periods of time. That’s key for me!
