An all-white outfit works any time of year. While the winter versions differ from the summer look, the outcome is the same. Clean, fresh, and super stylish.
Like most outfits, it’s all about the accessories. An obvious choice is white shoes or boots and a white bag. Or just the opposite–a black bag, shoes, and even a belt. A nice contrast, of course, is red, but truly, you can add any contrasting color or colors to pop against the white for a simple, yet chic look.
My accessories of choice for this look come from the brown family. The richness of a brown shade like cognac creates a rich contrast to the all-white pieces. Not too flashy, but a subtle bit of contrast to play against the white.

The All-White Outfit
These posts are just a couple of the ways I’ve styled all white. For the feminine lace dress post, I styled subtle pink sandals and a cute bag. For the all-white jeans outfit, white accessories made of crochet textures created a different kind of contrast.
A New Take on the All-White Outfit
For today’s take on this look, I’ve styled an open-stitch sweater. I love this style for transitioning between seasons–like from spring to summer or summer to fall. It adds a touch of cozy but isn’t too warm.
I picked mine up at my local Hair Salon and Boutique, Salon Zinnia, but there are lots of cute ones still available. Fortunately, most of them are on sale! Here are just a few:

Of course, you do have to wear a cami or a tank underneath. Well, unless you have a cute lacy bralette and a nice tight torso that looks good through the stitching!! Lol! Um, not me, however.
To keep a slim line, I went with an older pair of slim ankle pants from Chico’s. White jeans or dressier trousers would look great, too.
The brown shades in my accessories are all just a bit different and that works for me. Remember when you had to match your shoes to both your bag and your belt?! Am I dating myself here? Lol! Well, sometimes that is the best look for an outfit!
Of course, this outfit cried out for a touch of animal print!! Lol! So, to take care of the bad hair day, I added a snake print scrunchie.
As this is still a warmer weather look, albeit late summer, I’m still styling my braided slide sandals. Later, neutral booties will do the job, along with a cognac leather jacket.
Quilted handbags were BIG last year and the trend is continuing. This cute cognac-ish shoulder bag is from Talbots. For fall, they are showing the same bag in black leather. These are well-made handbags that will last a long time.
In any case, I love the contrast of the browns with the white. What do you think of this combination?
The bottom line here is, don’t shy away from an all-white outfit at any time of year! And right now is a great time to refresh your white pieces and put together some fresh new looks.
