Happy Friday, my friends! Today I am sharing a great little knit top from Old Navy. I’ve mentioned before how inexpensively you can refresh your summer top wardrobe, and with just a few accessories really make it pop!
I love the “forgiving” flounce on the bottom of this top. To tie the look together, I knotted a colorful silk scarf in the front. It is an accessory I bought years ago from Travelsmith before one of our trips to Italy. I liked it so much I bought one for my mother-in-law who wears lots of deep and pastel colors.
Did I mention that I have a least six jean jackets in my closet? LOL! Well, this coral one is a very old one from Chico’s. There–proof that this jacket never goes out of style! You can see I am once again wearing my red espadrilles from Lands End. They are an unusual shade that goes with reds and oranges, and even some pinks. So, I should get lots of wear out of them–and with 30% off, they cost around $30!
My basic navy bag has also been a good investment. Navy is truly neutral and goes with so many things. Do you have a navy bag in your wardrobe?
Have you added some of the earrings that are trending this spring to your wardrobe? I love that there are so many colorful versions with tassels, bright colors and interesting textures. They can really pull a look together or make an interesting conversation piece. I have had lots of compliments on this simple blue pair I am styling here. They are from Glamour Farms and were very inexpensive.
What are your plans for this Memorial Day weekend? Are you planning a red, white and blue outfit to celebrate the holiday? In Monday’s post, I’ll share a casual look in honor of the holiday along with a little history of this special celebration.
