Hello, my friends! Today I am sharing a very basic casual outfit. Since I have started this blog, I have definitely been paying more attention to accessories, and I am styling two simple but different sets of earrings and bracelets.
Let’s face it. On any given day, when we are busy running errands and generally taking care of things, we tend to reach for a comfortable pair of jeans and a cotton top, right? And that’s exactly what I did today!
My top is by Michael Stars. These cotton tops are really nice and come in many styles and patterns. You can buy them in lots of stores or online–I got mine last year on the sale rack at Nordstrom. I have 3-4 others that I have also had for some time. The faded gray jeans are from Talbots–also a few years old. I am wearing my metallic Flexx slip-ons, which I think go nicely with the look.
In the photo above, you can see my really cute new earrings. They are basically gold disks with a sparkly silver in the center. I saw them in the gift shop while in the desert and liked them. My son was so cute and said he wanted to buy them for me! How sweet is that?!! I am wearing them with three bracelets: one in silver and gold and two in antique gold finish. Just that bit of jewelry, I think, takes the outfit up just a notch.
In the next two photos, I am wearing some new pieces in rose gold. Rose gold tones are really trending this spring and there are lots of pieces to choose from. My earrings and bracelet pictured here are from Nordstrom brand, so were very affordable.
The earrings don’t show up great here, but they are basic hoops with a sparkly edge. I am glad to see that hoop style earrings are being seen on celebrities and are once again “in style” since I have been wearing various sizes and colors of hoops for years!! lol! I have just found them to be a great basic and they are easily worn with most necklaces. I wanted to be sure that the rose gold colors would go with my skin tone, and I think I really like the look, though it is subtle.
I think Scooter likes the look, too! Just as long as I can take him for his walk! Haha!
Hope you have a happy hump day! I would love to hear any comments you might have as well as any suggestions for future posts. Just click on the Comment line at the top of this and every post.
Check back in tomorrow for another installment!
Warmly,
Darlene
