Good Monday morning! Today I’m styling a striped cotton dress that can be worn winter or summer, for casual or dressy events. This is one of those wardrobe pieces that can be worn so many ways, you can’t go wrong!
This particular dress came in my last Stitch Fix and I knew right away it was a keeper. There are many points in its favor. It’s cotton. The colors are fabulous. It will go with so many things in my closet. And the fit is great!
Striped cotton dress styled casually
The first look has become a classic: a dress styled with white sneakers. You can wear white sneakers with almost everything and still make a fashion statement! How great is that?!
Leather sneakers // backpack (similar)
A white backpack adds another casual element to this look.
Finally, a great statement necklace (similar here) on a striped dress or top can really stand out!
In Friday’s post about my fat loss journey (in case you missed it, you can view it here), I neglected to point out an important fact shared by Amanda Tress. That is that the hardest spots on the body to lose fat are the butt and the thighs, and it’s always the last to go. I am reminded of that as I look at this “rear” shot! LOL!
Striped cotton dress look with boots
Another way to style this dress is to take it up a notch with some great boots, like these suede OTK boots. By just adding heels, the outfit has a dressier feel.
Again, a statement necklace and hoop earrings add a little bling.
What I really loved about my latest fix from Stitch Fix was the way the pieces could all be worked together. The same adorable embroidered bag, this time worn as a shoulder bag, has beautiful colors that coordinate beautifully with this dress and add some interest, too!
This dress is exclusive to Stitch Fix, but there are some super cute striped dresses out there that could also be styled a number of ways. Of course, you could also give Stitch Fix a try! Here are some similar striped dresses:

Nice dress, Darlene! I’m happy to hear that butt and thighs are the hardest because my problem area is midsection! Thanks for the fashion inspiration this Monday!
I know what you mean. As we get older, the midsection is a bit of a challenge, too! But that area responds a little better than the other two! Haha. Have a great day.
I love this dress with the tennis shoes! It’s so nice to have a comfy trend like this!
