Hello, everyone! Who says there are no seasons in Southern California? That just isn’t true, but it is true that our “cold” weather is usually no lower than the low 60’s along the coast. But some of the trees do change color as you will see in today’s post. To celebrate the beauty of the fall leaves, I decided to style an outfit I picked up recently from Target: a mustard top and cheetah patterned pants. As I said before, as in this post on affordable fashion, Target has some really nice lines with trendy clothes.
Both the mustard blouse and the cheetah prints pants are by WhoWhatWear. The sizes do run a bit on the roomy side–I am wearing a small top and size 6 pants (which are supposed to be cropped! Oops!) and both pieces are plenty comfortable.
This outfit would look much cuter with some great booties, but I’m afraid these slides will be my go-to’s for the foreseeable future. They are great shoes for comfort and you can see a similar style here. I did order some clogs which I will style later this week. I hope they will look a bit more fashionable with my fall styles! And that I can get my foot into them! Yikes!
You can see some of the detail in this blouse, with a gathered front and lace-trimmed full sleeves. Details make the difference!! (And the blouse is on sale this week for $17!)
Jewelry consists of simple gold earrings and a gold choker. The beautiful mustard and the cheetah print have enough going on. My husband said I looked like I was going to a Creedence Clearwater Revival Concert!! (A 70’s reference–anybody remember them?) Haha! And meant that in a good way!
This would be a great outfit for a casual Thanksgiving or a casual get-together, don’t you think?
