Hello, everyone! Have you recovered from all the Christmas festivities? It does take a while, I know. And, this week is the clean-up, the take-down, and the put-away. It seemingly never ends, does it? But I think it’s worth it. In any case, this week is definitely a casual kick-back week in terms of my outfits. Today I am sharing a cute blue velvet baseball hat–so great for a bad hair day! And I love the way this shade of navy looks with mustard–jeans and mustard go great together!
I am absolutely crushing on velvet this season! You can tell when you look back at some of my many posts showcasing velvet pieces. You can revisit them here, here, and here–just in case you missed them! Haha! There are several more as well!
The blue velvet hat outfit
This cute blue velvet hat was the inspiration for today’s look. And jeans were definitely the order of the day!
This cute ruffled sweatshirt in mustard is one I found at TJ Maxx. It’s pretty lightweight and just warm enough for our 60+ degree weather. See another version here.
These Ecco sneakers have been a lifesaver for my healing foot and ankle. They are both cute and comfortable; worth the elevated price tag! I might pick up another color since I am still working on the healing process.
Gap makes nice jeans and I am very happy with this skinny straight version. They label reads “low stretch” which reminds me of the jeans from my teens and 20’s! Nostalgic for the jeans of old? I guess so!! LOL!
Simple gold hoop earrings are the only accessory–well, besides the hat, of course!
Ah, nothing quite like blue velvet–in anything!
What are your plans? Something casual or a formal party? For the last several years’ we had celebrated New Year’s Eve with close friends, sharing a casual dinner, a little Trivial Pursuit and fun relaxing time together. This year calls for a bit more bling since we’ll be attending a hotel party event. Can’t wait!
Have you picked out your New Year’s Eve outfit yet? I would love to hear what you will be styling on the holiday. And I would love to hear your comments or ideas!
