Hello everyone!
Well, that’s what I get for trying to have a tricky title! Haha! I wanted to showcase just one more floral look that I mentioned in a post last week.
For this post, I am styling a designer dress that I just couldn’t pass up. It is a dress by Diane Von Furstenberg, who has been designing great dressed for at least 30 years. Her wrap dresses, many of which were in floral fabric, were a big hit in the late 70’s. I continue to see her dresses at Nordstrom and other fine stores, and just happened across this one at TJ Maxx as part of their Runway Collection. I have scored a couple of great designer pieces, at reduced prices, from this collection.
I just loved the colors too much to pass it up. It’s a very simple dress that can be dressed up or down. Today I chose to pair it with a pair of black velvet kitten pumps from Talbots, but I think it would look great with sandals or booties. I was tempted to pair it with my bright blue velvet booties, but decided it should stand on its own!

For jewelry, I added a coral and antique gold necklace with hoop earrings and several bangles. I do have several pairs of hoops and notice I tend to wear them a lot! I will have to step out a bit on the earring situation! I have a couple tassel necklaces and will just have to try some tassel earrings. I would love to hear what you all are styling for jewelry these days, especially your earrings!
For fun, I added my coral cross-body bag. I know I have been wearing bright blue with this coral color a lot, but I think these colors really complement each other.
I have to laugh when I look at my legs. Without nylons, they are definitely not perfect!! Haha! Several years ago I commented to a friend who wasn’t wearing nylons at an important school ceremony where she was on stage. She said, “I decided that these are my legs and I’m going to just get over how they look without nylons.” I was so impressed and decided to do the same. A bit risky in the educational administration world at the time. Now, of course, nobody wears pantyhose and I think we are all over it. But we still feel a bit self-conscious; I am noticing that my accomplished fellow bloggers all mention it! Aren’t we just the hardest on ourselves?
I hope you enjoyed my 3 (or 4 or whatever!) days of ideas on how to style floral looks and that you gained some inspiration. I would love it if you would share YOUR floral looks! You could comment below or send your looks to me at aquamarinastyle@gmail.com. I get ideas from others in order to style looks for my posts every day! I appreciate any other comments or ideas as well.
Thanks to all of you for Liking or Sharing my post, even with my imperfect leg shots! :=)
