Happy Thursday, everyone,
Hope you are planning for a fun or relaxing weekend, whichever one you need! We are expecting to get some more rain tomorrow, so will have a fairly cool weekend. The snowpack in the mountains is very high, and actually may rescue us from the five-year drought, according to some scientists. But we have to wait until April for Governor Brown to state officially whether or not we are still in drought status! Oh, California!
For today’s post, I am styling an outfit made up of denim pants and jacket, though not in traditional indigo. Like most of you, I like denim in many forms!
OK, so now I am getting into the ripped jeans look. Well, at least a little. I still choose the more conservative “ripped” over the “destroyed” version. Here I am styling a pair of washed olive jeans from Nordstrom–their Caslon brand. I found them in the sale rack, and purchased them for under $50, so they aren’t too big an investment and this trend is continuing so I should be able to get plenty of wear out of them. They are in the “boyfriend” style which makes them pretty easy fitting and comfortable.
My white jean jacket is an old one from Chadwick’s of Boston! I’ve had it for at least 15 years, which goes to show you that denim pieces never completely go out of style. And jean jackets just keep coming back, don’t they?
I picked up this cute coral tee from SteinMart and will be able to wear it year-round for the most part.
My necklace is an old one with red and coral twists, a color mix that I really like. I decided to pair it with this outfit to pull out the coral in the top. Then I added my large handbag in cherry red to tie it all together.
My khaki menswear shoes are from Clarks; I wore them in an earlier post. I love the “golf” style of these and the great neutral color.

Colleen Anderson – Hairstylist Extraordinaire
Today, I had my monthly color and cut from my hairdresser, Colleen Anderson, at Salon Zinnia in San Clemente. Colleen has been doing my hair for 15 years and we have become good friends! We live in a somewhat small community, and our sons played Lacrosse together in high school. Today, she put “beachwaves” in my hair, so I asked to take her picture and show her beautiful waves…

And here is my final result:
I hope you have a wonderful Friday. Watch for my post tomorrow evening. I have been getting some stats that show most of you look at these in the early evening. Could you please give me some feedback about that? Early morning? Early evening? Your opinion would be very helpful. You can respond at the end of this post.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I would love it if you would “like” or “share” my posts. It’s easy to do–just click on the icons under “Follow” on the upper right.
Warmly,
