Hi, everyone! Do you agree that a sweater is the very best piece of your wardrobe? It is so easy to put a sweater outfit together, whether for super casual or very dressy occasions. The sweater outfit I am styling today started with a beautiful off-shoulder version that I just received from Stitch Fix.
I am loving the way this off-shoulder sweater stays put on the shoulders. You can see how I am styling it higher on the shoulders, but you can also go fully off-shoulder. I also like the fabric; while it looks like wool, it’s actually an acrylic blend. I am one of those unfortunate people who just can’t wear wool against my skin even though I love the look of a wool sweater! The fabric that feels best is cotton, but some of the new acrylics are pretty breathable.
The sweater outfit
You can dress up a simple sweater like this by adding another texture to your pants. These coated jeans are from NYDJ from last year. I wore them in some of my earliest posts–you can see them here. (This post was from my very novice blogging time, so forgive the dark pictures! Haha!)
These gray booties are super easy to wear with the stacked heel. Well, they were easy; now, however, the right one is way too tight. You have to learn a little humility along with some patience after foot surgery, I am learning. Clearly, it will be some time yet before I can wear some of the beautiful shoes out now–especially over the knee boots! I am SO wanting a pair, but there is no way I could get them on, let alone walk around in them! SO sad. I’ll just keep admiring them on other bloggers!
Well, you can see that these leggings show everything!! Something else to look forward to is getting back in shape! I really miss my long walks and hikes! Are any of you thinking about your fitness goals for next year? I would love to hear about your plans!
I picked up this mixed-media necklace at Nordstrom. I love the mix of gray and burgundy with both gold and silver. There are so many cute necklaces to shop! And by just adding a great necklace, your outfit can go from casual to party ready!
The shopping tip
Once again, I am sharing a great lipstick shade. As I’ve written before, I normally wear a pretty neutral shade, but in the fall and winter, reds and burgundies just seem like the perfect touch. I’m wearing another shade from Nars, my favorite lipstick. Take a look at it here, and see if this shade might work for you!
