Skinny pants and jeans have been THE predominant style for so long, and some ladies are hesitant to change. But honestly, if you haven’t tried some of the current styles, you’re in for a big surprise! There are so many great options, like these easy-fit twill wide-leg pants for spring.
It’s also a little too easy to fall into the jeans trap, especially when so many of us are working from home. But twill pants and chinos are also a great option as well as a great way to add some color to your wardrobe.
So, when I saw this twill pair in a leaf green color, I just had to try them. And I’m sure glad I did!
The Easy Fit Twill Wide-Leg Pants Outfit
The Wide-Leg Pants
I think you will find this style flattering on almost anyone. I know that at first glance, you might think, ugh, I look like a fire hydrant! (Well, that’s an often-voiced complaint by us shorter ladies.) But, take my word for it, they will grow on you and you will like the way you look on you. After all, you are dressing for YOU so go with what looks and feels good.
The fitted waist provides a bit of shape to the high-waist form of the pants. The fabric is a cotton/linen blend so they are perfect for the spring season as well as into the early summer.
They’re also available in ecru, black, and camel. Fit info: this pant is available in regular and curvy. I am wearing my usual size 6. But since they are not available in Petite sizing, they are not quite as “cropped” as the description shows–at least on me. I do like them at this length and don’t want to pay for hemming, so I’ll wear them as-is.
A Puff-Sleeve Top
Our love affair with puff sleeves continues and why not? They are a lovely way to add a feminine touch to even the most masculine-looking pair of jeans and boots.
Ruffled at the neck, smocked at the yoke, and puffed at the sleeves, this swingy top is an easy and breezy piece to style with the easy pants. The pretty print is played up with all the cute details.
The pants and top create a bit of a matchy-matchy look which isn’t that exciting, but it still works. I will also style the pants with a yellow top and shoes or even a white tee with my yellow Cariuma sneakers for a casual look. You can read about them here.
The top comes in regular and petite. While I am 5’3″, I generally buy regular sizes in tops as I have a longer torso. Some comments about the top being too short were shared, but it works for me.
Wedge sandals by Ugg are my current favorite–both for comfort and a cute neutral style.
To add a little interest, I styled the outfit with a yellow shoulder bag. I’m a big fan of green and yellow together!
Honestly, if you are still on the fence over wider leg pants, give these easy-fit twills wide-leg pants a try. You’ll be able to style them so many ways. You’ll love the fit and the comfort!
