The chambray tunic top is a workhorse in your wardrobe. You can wear them with almost anything. They can be worn long over leggings but can also be tucked into a skirt. And they look fabulous with a long cardigan!
Today I’m sharing another Fall essential: the faux leather legging. There have been some real improvements to this fabric making it look more like leather with a good stretch in the fit. And a chambray tunic top is the perfect companion.
The Chambray Tunic Top outfit
This top is an older one from J. Jill. I have honestly styled this top for several seasons, and know that I will use it for many more. Do you have a chambray tunic top in your closet already? If not, this is something you will want to add to your collection of chambray tops.
The pair I am styling here is by Halogen at Nordstrom. I ordered them online and, after looking at the pictures, confirmed that I will need to return them for a smaller size as they run a bit large. They are a good find in that they come in petite and have a nice thick texture with hidden zippers on the inside of the lower leg.
There are many versions out there that look very nice:
The shoes and accessories
Almost any style booties look great with leggings. My bag is an inexpensive one in suede which is trending this Fall. (You can see a cute one that is similar here.) And a little touch of anything animal print adds the final touch! I added it in both my scarf and my earrings.
Scooter is checking out my leggings–he agrees this pair is a bit too baggy! Haha! One thing to be aware of is that the faux leather fabrics are quite warm, so these leggings will be something to wear on a fairly chilly day.
