There are so many great shoe styles for fall that it can be hard to pick one. Or two. Or even three pairs! After inventorying my closet, I chose four styles that should give me a great start to fall styling. So–without further ado–here are my fall shoe picks from the #NSale!
My fall shoe picks from the #NSale in lilac
Remember the Color of the Year? Well, it is ultraviolet. As that is a color that not everybody loves, brands began designing fashion items in shades and hues of that color. As a result, lavender or lilac has become fairly popular and a bit easier to find in stores and online. So I was intrigued when I spotted two shoes in lilac as part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.
The first pair I ordered because the price was right–around $50! These shoes were actually marked down just before the sale. A cute pair of slides is something I can wear year round, and many of you can wear them into the fall, too. The ruffled top and block-heels give the shoes a very cute look.
Lilac or lavender is not a color I have in my wardrobe and I am always on the lookout for something new and different. As you know, that is the purpose of my blogging journey: to ensure that I do not fall into a fashion or any other kind of rut in my semi-retirement! Lol! Lilac is also a shade that looks good on most ladies who can wear pastels. While I am typically categorized as a “Spring,” those who look best in deeper shades, I can wear some pastels. And of course, you don’t have to wear one shade head-to-toe; you can always add a touch of any color you like to one or two items in your outfit.
The second pair is one I admired in the “Oh yeah!” sale catalog. At a higher price point, I hesitated to purchase them. Reviews on the site cited amazing quality, but a bit short in the toe area. Well, for me that’s perfect!! So I ordered them and absolutely love them!! They fit just right!
They are definitely a dressier shoe. And they are definitely well-made. I am going to have to choose just one as I really don’t need TWO pairs of lilac suede shoes in my closet!! I would love to hear your opinion, so please feel free to weigh in!
My fall shoe picks from the #NSale in neutrals
An animal print is truly a neutral fashion item and this calf-hair mule by Halogen is a great choice for fall. They are well made and the band across the front mimics a stylish loafer. They are much more comfortable than I expected–an important point for me and I imagine most of you.
If you are looking for a cute transition shoe, this mule would be an excellent choice.
Booties are the perfect fall shoe. How many do you already have in YOUR closet? A cross between a shoe and a boot, a bootie can be worn in the cool weather and on into the winter. A neutral shade, like this golden tan, called “oak”, is a beautiful neutral. It will go with almost anything in your fall wardrobe. The cutout back allows you to wear them now on a cool night and well into the fall. For Southern California, they can probably be wearable year-round.
I’ve already styled three of these shoes in previous posts. If you want to see them as part of an outfit, you can view them here, and here.
Do you agree that “Shoe love is true love?” Haha! I haven’t met many women who aren’t avid lovers of shoes. What are your fall shoe picks from the #NSale? Or from any other fall sale? I’ve had my eye on sock booties, and many other bloggers are already styling them. They are so cute. Later in the fall, I may be including them in my posts. We shall see…
I’ve had my eye on those frill shoes fora while now. So tempting! xx
I know, right? Well, they are on sale so better grab them quick! Have a lovely weekend, Emma. I understand you have a warm weekend ahead! Crazy weather this summer!
