From almost every fall Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I pick up a couple of sweaters. While the weather is just heating up here, cool fall mornings and evenings will soon be upon us. And I just couldn’t pass up these fall sweater picks!
Now that the sale is open to the public, it appears that more stock is available. So, fingers crossed that if you like something, you can still get it. 🤞
Without further ado, then, here are my…
Fall Sweater Picks
Both sweaters featured here are styled with jeans for a somewhat casual look. These are the mid-rise straight-leg jeans from Frame I shared in the post, Jeans Outfits from the Nordstrom Sale.
While they are sold out at the sale, you can pick them up on sale here: Frame Straight Leg Jeans. They have a looser slouchy fit, so you can size down if you like them more fitted. These are quality designer jeans.
Plush Leopard Sweater Pick
OK, it seems like every fall, one needs to add another leopard print sweater to their collection, right? Lol! In any case, this super soft and huggable sweater from Ugg just had to be added to mine. I love the natural take on the print color.
I can see myself wearing this all kinds of ways, including with shorts on a cool night, over a slim-fitting dress, and even with a casual skirt.
Now, it’s definitely NOT the kind of sweater that is figure-flattering, and that’s OK for this style. It’s loose and comfy–I can even see my wearing it over my pajamas on a cool morning when I make my coffee!
The sweater is available in three other colors, too.
These pointy toe mules by Steve Madden are VERY popular for fall. And why not? Flats for comfort and a cool chain really set them apart. They come in several colors.
Black V-Neck Sweater Pick
In terms of sweaters, a basic black sweater is a wardrobe essential. My guess is, you already have one or two in your closet, am I right?
A V-neck sweater is always a good choice as the vee tends to elongate the neck, making you look taller and slimmer. Yay! It’s also a great way to showcase a pretty necklace or two!
This particular sweater, by Treasure and Bond, is a Nordstrom brand that offers great quality items. I purchased it in navy (see the post, Olive and Navy Look: A Great Combination) and love the slightly oversized fit. It’s both soft and comfortable for every day but can be dressed up, too.
A note about the black link watchband. This band, made by Michelle, was a perfect match with my rose gold Apple watch. Although a bit pricey, it’s on sale at $100 off and really dresses up my watch. I love my Michelle watch with diamonds my husband bought for an anniversary some years back, but don’t want to miss out counting my steps, calories, and stands throughout the day! Can you relate?
I just need to visit my local Nordstrom to have some links removed.
If the sweaters are showing sold out, do check back as pieces are often returned during the sale. It should be available afterward, too, at the regular price, and is well worth it. It also comes in Plus Sizes.
Sweater Picks for Men
With the holidays not too far off, I picked up some beautiful cashmere sweaters for my guys as gifts–navy for my husband and black for my son. These are Nordstrom brand sweaters and are really nice. They are lightweight cashmere which works well for my guys as they don’t like hot and heavy sweaters.
At the sale price, they are a good buy for a gorgeous holiday gift.
Did you happen to notice my glowy complexion? Actually, that is me perspiring, as styling jeans and a sweater on a day in the upper 70s is a challenge! Hey, the things you do as a blogger…
Enjoy the lovely almost-August weather, my friends, but be ready–fall truly is right around the corner so the time is right to check these fall sweater picks at sale prices!
