Woohoo! Today is the first day of spring at last!! Time to talk about fashion trends for Spring 2019!
The spring runway shows give us a sense of fashion trends for spring as well as for the rest of 2019. While some of the looks appear especially “out-there” to us normal fashionistas (is there a “normal” fashionista? Lol!), they give us a clue as to what we’ll be seeing in the stores. And some trends we’ll be incorporating into our wardrobes.
Another hint for fashion trends this spring come from “street style” looks. These are the outfits the guests who attend the runway shows style. While many of the looks are exaggerated, they give us an idea of what’s to come. Take a look at this article–Every Can’t-Miss Street Style Look from NYFW 2019 So Far–for a fun look at Street Style for the New York Fashion Week that took place recently.
Don’t miss the custom-designed coat worn by fellow blogger Dawn Lucy of Fashion Should Be Fun in the article–it’s not to be missed for making a fashion statement!
Here are some of the biggest trends for Spring:
- Bright colors and monochromatic outfits including neon!
- Colorful prints, plaids, and pattern mixing
- Statement sneakers! White is still popular, too.
- Neon and Tie-dye. ’60s anyone?
- Wrap dresses, tops, coats
- Snake prints
- White boots!
Do any of those trends speak to your style? I’m sure there are many you are saying no to some, as in “No way, not for me,” right? Haha! I often do the same and then find that I like it! Or at least my interpretation of the trends.
My Interpretation of Fashion Trends for Spring 2019
So, go ahead and step outside of your normal fashion zone. Try one of these fashion trends for spring even if it’s just trying a monochromatic outfit with pieces you already have in your closet. But think about adding some cool white boots! I’ll do a post and share some soon!
Bright Colors
The Pantone Color of Year, Living Coral, is obviously a big hit with me! I included several living coral pieces in the following posts. Just click on the photo to read all about it!
Colorful Prints and Wrap Style Pieces
For a colorful print, this wrap dress is a lovely combo for spring with green and navy. And the yellow accessories make it pop!
Neon and Tie-Die
For the monthly challenge from my blogging friends of the Match Made in Seven–neon!–I found a top that is both neon and snake print! How about that?! A twofer!
This snake print top in another trending color for spring–pink! I fell in love with this one! It was a big surprise!
White Platform Sneakers and White Boots
These are two trends that are SO versatile and easy-to-wear. Both the platform sneakers and the white booties give your spring outfit a clean, crisp look. And they go with everything!
I’ll be sharing info about these adorable white lace sneakers in my next post. Be sure to watch for that!
Another trend for spring is neutrals, which honestly, are always in style. But in between all the color and pattern on the runways were snapshots of sophisticated neutral outfits. So there really is something for everyone to love this spring. Watch for my version of a neutral outfit soon.
Which trend is your favorite? Which one will you NEVER ever be seen in?
Enjoy the first day of Spring, wherever you are~
Darlene, all these pieces are super cute! Love the coral, haven’t got anything in that shade yet! I love the snakeskin, and have bought a skirt like this and styled this week too. Thanks for sharing on the #chicandstylish #linkup Jacqui Mummabstylish
Hi, Jacqui,
I may have gone just a tad overboard with coral for spring, but it’s such a happy spring color! You would love amazing in a deep, vibrant coral with your dark hair and coloring. I’ll watch for your styling it on the blog!
xx Darlene
So many great things you’re wearing! I love the two snakeskin items (and I’m not normally a fan) and the wrap dress and bag! Thanks for joining #WowOnWednesday Darlene, have a great weekend.
Gail, I totally agree about the snakeskin. I despise snakes and never dreamed I’d actually end up wearing this print, but in a pretty color it can be very pretty. Who knew, right?! Thanks for sponsoring the Link Up.
xx Darlene
Gosh Darlene, I love that wrap dress so much! Just gorgeous! But the other outfits are fabulous too! The first one is great too!
Aw, you are always so sweet and positive, Nancy. I appreciate your thoughtful comments and am looking forward to Debbie’s challenge this month!
Take care,
xx Darlene
So many great trends! I can’t wait to try out the snakeskin trend! I love seeing you wear them, too!
Thanks so much, Laura! There really is something for everyone this year!
