Good morning, my friends!
I hope you enjoyed my take on an Autumn tablescape in yesterday’s post. Of course, the base color was orange, the color of Autumn–warm days, cool nights, Halloween, Thanksgiving. But the aqua blues were the highlight color, which gave this traditional look a contemporary feel.
I promised to show you the perfect outfit to go along with that theme, and here it is!
I picked up this super cute dress at Haystacks in Leland, on my trip to Northern California. This is one of those pieces that you can wear as a dress or a tunic. I couldn’t find this dress anywhere online, so here is a cute basic dress in a similar color–on sale at Macy’s! And here is another version in brown faux suede. For a cool Fall day, I added my cropped leggings.
And leopard print kitten heels made a perfect accompaniment. I am SO loving all the adorable animal print shoes this Fall, and plan to pick up a pair of flats–as soon as I can actually wear shoes on BOTH feet, that is! lol! Here are some cute animal print styles at various price points:
Aren’t there some cute choices?!! And since leopard looks great with just about everything and seems to never go out of style, a pair of any of these is a safe wardrobe investment.
cognac clutch/crossbody bag (similar)
My cognac leather clutch (that also serves as a crossbody bag) went well with the outfit, as it does with so many things. You can see a similar one here.
I styled a long statement necklace with a tassel, along with rose gold earrings and bracelets for jewelry. On a solid backdrop, like this dress, a long necklace really works.
How do YOU style leopard? I would love to see your versions of this great print!

P.S. This post was written before the terrible event in Las Vegas. Another senseless tragedy. My heart goes out to all the victims. Far too many innocent people’s lives have been affected and it is a truly sad time for all of us. We can only hope and pray that such happenings will end soon.
