Happy Friday, everyone! Red is certainly THE color for the holiday–as you can see from many of my recent posts, like this, this and this. But a beautiful alternative is a deep shade of green, as in this emerald green satin henley.
Green satin henley outfit
Have you noticed how incredible the sales are right now? I picked this top up from Nordstrom for less than $30. I love a top like this that can be dressed up or down. I dressed it up a bit for a work party. Since it was attended by lots of educators coming straight from work, I knew a simple but nice outfit would be best for this event.
So, I added my straight-leg black jeans: I am going to switch it up a bit and try some other styles of jeans rather than so many skinnies. There are lots of styles and shapes available in jeans; if you haven’t tried some of the many varieties, take a look. There are skinny, straight, high-waist, mid-rise, trouser, bootcut…and the list goes on. Which is right for you? Or rather, how many are right for you? You might be surprised!
You can see the nice drape and the longer back on this top–I love the oversized, casual feel of this top. It comes in lots of pretty colors!
And what could be better than animal print shoes? They have become such a neutral and look great with almost anything. These are a favorite kitten heel style, which I was happy to discover I could not only get on my foot but was able to even walk in them! But not too far and not for too long!! haha!
The statement necklace can take an otherwise simple look and turn it into a dressy outfit, as this one did. I love the bling in this necklace from Nonie on Etsy–it really dressed up my satin henley! and it’s so unique!
