Need an outfit for a little more coverage this summer but still sending a warm weather vibe? How about this floral peasant top and white jeans outfit? This mostly cotton outfit will be perfect for a summer vacation on the water.
I mentioned our upcoming cruise in mid-July from Amsterdam to the British Isles in my last post. The forecasters predict the weather in the ’60s and ’70s. Since I know it can be cool on the water, I’m planning for a summer look for slightly cooler temperatures. Of course, one must also prepare for a heat wave as you just never know with our current weather patterns, right?
So, I’m thinking layers will work and plan to take jeans, capris and my white denim skirt with cute tops for casual sightseeing. I’ll also take along a pair or two of shorts for warm days. I’ve picked up some cute sweatshirts and jackets that I’ll be sharing in future posts that I can carry along in case it turns cool. And a few long sleeve tops will also be included in my suitcase, and this cute patterned top will be perfect!
Floral Peasant Top and White Jeans Outfit
A peasant-style top is always flattering. The full sleeves and looser fit give these tops a romantic feel, and don’t we all love that? This one is especially pretty with the floral print in this navy peacock color.
The neck of this top is fitted with pintucks giving it a great fit, with the best detail in the back! You can see the cute double ties tethering the keyhole back. Once again, the details make all the difference.
The woven cotton fabric makes the top breathable and wearable for summer, but you can wear this top on into the fall. It will also go with a buttoned hoodie I picked up and will share in a future post.
White jeans, like the white denim skirt I styled recently, truly go with everything and are the perfect summer pant. These are stretchy with a slightly frayed hem and are super comfortable. The white pants help keep the summery look for this outfit.
Today’s photographer is my son, Max. My husband was busy cooking steaks on the grill–which my son was eager to join us for!–so he volunteered to take the photos. (It’s not like they fight over this job, but at least they are willing to help! Haha!) I think he did a nice job, don’t you?
