The Lilac and Navy Outfit
The Lilac Knit Jacket
Having very little lilac in my wardrobe, I was all in when I spotted this lovely color in a jacket. When it arrived–since I’m almost totally an online shopper!–I wasn’t disappointed. I like the lines and the fit. It’s a tiny bit on the roomy side, which is actually not a bad thing in a jacket.
This jacket has a touch of stretch and the weave is a nice plush knit.
Since the fabric is knit, this jacket will serve as the perfect piece to transition into spring. I’ll be wearing it for Easter! Lol!
The Navy in the Lilac and Navy Outfit
Then, I had to figure out what to pair it with. I knew I wanted to style it with jeans. Even better, I wanted to wear it with my fabulous Lewit shoes. These were my splurge from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale WAY last summer. So, of course, they are no longer available, but I found some gorgeous lilac pumps you might like below!
Lilac Pumps (Similar and gorgeous!)
Dark Designer Jeans
These shoes were part of my post, Still Loving My Lilac Shoes and Ruffle-Sleeve Tee Outfit.
Finally, I had to determine which top would make this beautiful jacket stand out? So I pulled out this navy wrap-front top and decided that was it! I love the contrast of these two pieces in my lilac and navy outfit!
Faux Wrap Top (comes in 8 colors)
The top is soft cotton so it’s also perfect for transitioning into the spring. Who doesn’t love that?
The Accessories
The bag is a woven blue and tan clutch from last summer. I like the way it coordinates with the navy.
Lariat necklace | Triangle Drop Earrings
The geometric gold earrings and lariat style necklace are by Gorjana. Gorjana is a local company–from Laguna Beach here in California. I love their jewelry. It’s always interesting and unique, which I love. The necklace adjusts to whatever length you need–hence, the lariat–and it is bright, hammered gold. The triangle drop earrings are the same bright gold and have lots of movement. So fun!
Have I convinced you to give a lilac and navy outfit a try? It presents a combination that is different, yet striking. Let me know what you think…
