At last!! Today I am sharing my first find from the NSale: a casual wrap sweater outfit. I have been looking for something in a lilac shade to add a new color to my wardrobe. So strange that while this color is a hue from the color of the year–ultraviolet–it can be challenging to find. So when I saw this cute wrap sweater from Leigh, I ordered it.
Before I share my new outfit, let’s talk about teeth whitening. I know–an odd topic, right? But I stumbled across this new product and decided to check it out and share my experience with you.
Do you use teeth whiteners? Or a whitening toothpaste? I think everybody would like their teeth a bit lighter, right? I have noticed that as I age, my teeth stain more easily. Or maybe I just drink more coffee and tea? Whatever the reason, I have been on the lookout for a decent product. I’ve tried the bleaching product and trays that come from your dentist, but the material is very hard on my gums. And with sensitive teeth, there is NO way I can wear that stuff all night long.
Target carries an interesting product made with coconut oil and charcoal. My son and I were laughing about all the folks on Instagram and Snapchat who show themselves brushing with this stuff. Spoiler alert: you will look like a candidate for the Walking Dead cast while you’re brushing! But after just using it twice, I am impressed! My teeth look and feel clean and do seem just a bit whiter!
At a price point around $20, it’s worth trying! If you’ve used it or try it, I would love to hear your results! You can check the product out here.
Now, about that outfit…
The casual wrap sweater outfit
I decided to show only pieces from the sale, but I would definitely switch the pieces around with other items in my wardrobe. And to show you an alternative, I am styling the sweater with two different pairs of shoes.
For the first look, I am styling a lilac wrap sweater from Leigh. It does have a rather deep vee in the front, so I am planning to put a little stitch there so it doesn’t gap open. It’s soft and the color is lovely. The sweater is also semi-cropped so you may want a higher waisted jean–unless you like your tummy to show, of course! The lilac suede slides were on sale just before the anniversary sale and are still available at a great price.
If you are looking for a great price on colored jeans, check these out. They are by Articles of Society and are on sale for almost half off. I love the mulberry color, called “davenport.” Where do they get these color names anyway?!
An animal print anything is a great addition to any outfit. And this cute clutch is one of my favorites. While mine is from last year, you can click here to see a very cute one on sale at the NSale!
In the next photos, I am styling the outfit with calf-hair mules. Again, animal prints are a lovely almost neutral addition to an outfit. These are especially cute with the front covered in a band that mimics a loafer. Details!
We finally got our yard, front and back, planted with new plants and flowers. We really went for color with this design and are very happy with the way it looks. When everything fills in, we look forward to everything colorful and lush. Can’t wait!
A touch of gold via a simple gold necklace gives a touch of class to your outfit. This one is currently on sale and is a quality piece.
