What comes to mind when you think of a pink tweed blazer? What do you picture in your mind when you hear those words? Probably something classic, like a skirt and blazer or slacks and blazer suit, right? Well, if you have an older suit like this hanging out in your closet, try something new with it, like this pink tweed blazer with jeans outfit.
One often associates tweed with an Englishman walking through the heather in a heavy woolen jacket and heavy boots. Sound familiar? But tweed has come a long way and can be found in so many wardrobe pieces today. Like the blazer I’m sharing, in bright pink shades, there are lots of colorful options. Just imagine the Queen in her adorable lime tweed suit!
The Pink Tweed Blazer
I picked this blazer up some years ago to wear to work. For the most part, I styled it with white slacks and a pale pink blouse underneath for a professional look. With pearls, of course! Unable to bring myself to get rid of it, it’s been hanging in my closet for the past few years, waiting to be restyled. So here it is, restyled for a casual yet elegant look with a nice pair of jeans!
While unexpected, jeans look amazing with a dressier piece, like this tweed jacket. To be honest, many similar tweed jackets are quite pricey, like this gorgeous pale pink tweed blazer. Here are some alternatives that won’t break the bank:
A pale pink or white top is all you need under this type of jacket. You have to let the tweed pattern and color take center stage. If you want to give it a classical twist, add a string of pearls!
I decided a belt was needed with the classic jacket so added this reddish-brown version.
Heels are required for this look, don’t you think? These loafer heels are an older pair. I love the neutral camel shade and the fringed top with this outfit. Franco Sarto makes a similar heeled loafer in a camel shade. Here’s a cute Kiltie Pump in dark acorn, too.
These tiered drop earrings in three shades of pink are so versatile as they go with so many shades from light pink to red! They are from the Sugarfix line at Target, hence are quite inexpensive.
How many of you have bought or sold fashion items through Poshmark? I would love to try it sometime! In the meantime, here is my exact pink tweed blazer in size 12 from Poshmark!
Tip: The Perfect Pink Lipstick
Do you look at some of the sale items that pop up when you’re looking at Social Media? I do check out some of the items but rarely buy anything that way. I kept seeing these ads for a lipstick for women over 50, so I decided to take a look. The reviews for these Color The World lipsticks are pretty impressive–there are over 5,000 positive reviews so something must be right! The colors are true, the formula is sheer and creamy, and they adjust to your skin color. AND they are inexpensive. For beautiful pinks, try the Strong Women Pack of three lipsticks.

What a fabulous color on you! Tweed blazers are so great and never go out of style. I do love a blazer paired with jeans, too. Such a gorgeous outfit!

Thanks, Shelbee! How great is it to find some “old thing” in the closet and be able to restyle it? Gotta love pink, right?
Happy weekend!
