If your spring weather is anything like mine, deciding what to wear can be a crapshoot! We have cool and wet coastal fog in the morning, sun in the afternoon, and the fog rolls back in in the evening. Ugh. The solution: a versatile pink blazer.
Today’s outfit is all about shopping my closet. Some pieces are recent, like the slides and tee, while the jeans and blazer are old standbys.
While blazers are perfect for a professional look, they are also a great staple to wear with jeans. Just by adding a cute blazer to your jeans outfit, you can elevate it to a look that works almost anywhere.
I recall one time at the airport. I was wearing my comfy “flying uniform”–travel pants, a tee, and a hoodie. Now, this is truly my go-to outfit for a long flight. A gal walked by me in basically the same pieces, but instead of the knit hoodie, she has a blazer on over the outfit. She looked so put together!! Note to self, I thought–a blazer is great for a shorter flight! You can arrive somewhere looking just a bit upscale.
Case in point: this pink blazer in a linen blend to wear anywhere!
The Versatile Pink Blazer Look
Not only is a lightweight pink blazer versatile, but it also doesn’t have to cost a great deal. You just want quality construction in the piece and fabric that fits the season. For me, the linen blend works almost year-round.
You may–or may not!–recall this blazer from a couple of other posts, like this post and this one. I picked this jacket up at Target and found pants that match it exactly when I want a monochromatic suit outfit. So, yes, it was a very good buy and I have been able to wear it a LOT!
The patterned tee? I styled it recently in the post, Affordable Spring Fashion Finds. It, too, is a Target find, and when I picked it up I immediately pictured it with denim and pink. I love the rich colors with the paler pink blazer!
The Outfit Pieces
These ankle jeans with slit sides and a raw hem are perfect for summer. They are a bit lighter and present a cute casual look. Here is a link to a similar pair by Flying Monkey Jeans. I do love the straight styles trending this year, but that doesn’t mean I don’t pull out my old favorites now and then!
And wedge slide sandals are such a great accompaniment to a casual outfit. A little heel also adds a little “lift” to the look!
For a spring-almost-summer vibe, I’ve pulled out all my woven and straw bags. Like this smaller bag. I’ve had and used it for the last three summers so they are worth the price. And the price is super affordable. Here is a similar round straw bag that comes in several shades of straw.

If you don’t have a pink blazer in your wardrobe, you really should take a look. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at how a versatile pink blazer can be styled with things you already have in your closet.
