This plaid blazer is my very first pick from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. It has a classic fitted style with a bold plaid pattern on vivid navy. As soon as I spotted it, I had to try it on!
This blazer is an essential item in your wardrobe. The classic lines and great fit make it work with jeans as well as for your professional wardrobe. The ability to do dual-duty makes a piece cost-effective as you will get lots of wear out of it. In the case of a blazer, you can wear it from 9-5 and on into the evening just by changing up your accessories. Not to mention that a classic blazer will serve you well for years to come.
The Plaid Blazer Outfit
When shopping the #NSale this year, my intention was to be very strategic. To find pieces that go with clothes in my closet that can be worn in many ways. This stylish plaid blazer met that criteria easily. A quality blazer is always a smart choice! It can be a bit pricier, so a sale is a great time to pick one up!
This blazer is from Vince Camuto and appears to still be available at the #NSale, which is a complete shocker!! So, if you like it, pick it up soon!
For this outfit, I styled the blazer with a solid bright pink tee to pick up the hot pink in the plaid. It would look amazing with a patterned top with navy and pink it in, as well, like this floral flutter-sleeve top that is part of the NSale.
Here are some other cute tops on sale from Vince Camuto that would look great with this blazer, for work or fora more casual occasion:

The Bag
I love to style my outfits with a variety of handbags. After all, they are an accessory, so it’s fun to play around to find the look you like. And we all know how much the accessories can change the look. I’ve mentioned before that I generally purchase one nice, quality bag a season. But for all the rest of my handbags, I like to mix and match inexpensive ones.
This bag is another Target find from last year. It can be hard to find a navy bag, right?, so I grabbed this one when I saw it. The newest version of this winged satchel is a bit better quality with additional features and it comes in five other colors, too! You can’t beat it at $40!
If you decide to purchase anything from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year, my advice is to choose one or two things that are a high quality that can give you a lot of style for your money. Pieces like this plaid blazer or a cashmere sweater are pieces that will stand the test of time in the fashion world.
Perfect colour combo – love the pop of bright pink in your jumper and sandals. Jacqui Mummabstylish
There’s just something about a well-fitting blazer that makes it easy to style, isn’t there? Thanks, Jacqui!

I haven’t bought from the Nsale, but I enjoy seeing what other bloggers get. LOVE your jacket! I want a plaid blazer, I’d like a brown and also a grey plaid, so well see, for fall. There was a longer brown/camel plaid but it sold out very fast!
Thanks for writing from Dublin too! Love the magenta pink , the vibrant color is wonderful with navy blue.
thanks for linking!

Jess, so many items sold out SO fast. The NSale has become a bit crazy, for sure. I happened to visit our local store on a preferred day, so got a chance to try a few things on. But, to be honest, I didn’t buy as much a last year, or even the year before. I tried to stay with classic pieces I could wear with lots of things for many occasions.
Hope you are having a lovely Sunday,
xx Darlene
Well Nordstrom is very popular. I don’t know it, we don’t have it in the Netherlands. I don’t even think in Europe is it. It’s a good blazer. Very versatile!
Thanks, Nancy. I don’t believe Nordstrom has a physical store, but I know that international shopping is available with nordstrom.com in your country code, or at nordstrom.com/uk. It’s a great store with items at various price points so you can spend a little or a lot.

This color combo looks great on you. The blazer with jeans is polished yet casual, a very wearable look. Happy weekend!
Hi, Diane. I came a little late to the jeans and blazers combo, but it always seems to work, doesn’t it? Thank you for the lovely comments!
