Regardless of the weather, it’s that time of year to bring out the linen! There are just so many adorable pieces in this light and airy fabric, like white linen beach pants.
This looser style pant isn’t especially new as beach pants are typically styled for a flowy casual feel almost every summer. And this year, with the popularity of wider and looser pant styles, it’s a look that is hot and trendy.
This style of pant has often been labeled “unstructured,” due to the intentional design of this style.
Two bloggers who have shared some great ideas for styling linen are:

Deborah shared various pieces and how to style them, while Jess shared a fabulous patterned linen dress. Linen is no longer just used for pastels!
Lots of folks get just a little freaked out at the wrinkles in linen. My wonderful mother-in-law ironed and starched them until they could practically stand up! It took me some years to get my husband to buy linen shirts to wear on our summer travel for that reason. But once he got over the wrinkles, he was all in! The lesson? Let the wrinkles go and enjoy the casual and breezy feel of this amazing fabric. It’s just so perfect in the warm spring and summer months!
How To Wear White Linen Beach Pants
Now, being shorter in stature and with my shorter legs (SO jealous of you long-legged gals!), I generally stay away from very full pants on the bottom. But hey, now that I’m all-in on the wide-leg jeans and pants, I decided to go for these loose and flowy linen pants. While I definitely wouldn’t call them slimming, I decided I don’t care! Lol! I love the feel of them when I wear them–they just feel like vacation!!
I picked mine up at my local Salon Zinnia Boutique–that dangerous place I frequent every month! They are by Tempo Paris. I can’t find them to link for you, but I’m sharing some similar styles below. The closest version is this pair of linen crops with wood-like buttons, similar to mine.
My top is an older stretchy tee that I just love. The length is a bit shorter, making it easy to do a little tuck and blouse it over the waist on the pants. This is a great trick and was necessary with the see-through nature of this fabric. I’m sure you all know that you need to wear tan or flesh-colored panties under white and that was totally needed here.
Given the transparency of the white linen, you may not want to tuck anything in. So a cropped top or tee works well. You could also style a pretty blouse with the sleeves rolled up and tied at the waist for a cute, summery look. Or an off-the-shoulder top. An all-white outfit would look amazing! That will be my next look for these pants!
I am SO loving these slides with the studs. They are super comfortable and so chic! I considered wearing my Ugg Wedge Sandals to give myself some height to balance the wide pants but decided I prefer flat sandals. The heck with looking taller–I’m just not! Haha! And neither is Lulu! 😜
Isn’t this a fun necklace? It’s another find from Salon Zinnia here in San Clemente. They have lots of unique pieces made by local artists. Of course, I fell in love with the natural elements and the use of green and brown. The necklace was actually the inspiration for this outfit, along with the wooden tone of the buttons on the leg.
Here are some version of these wide-leg beach pants in linen:
I can’t wait to wear these pants in Hawaii next month. I will feel doubly on vacation!
Whatever your late spring and summer plans might be, do inventory your linen pieces. Consider adding a super fun pair of white linen beach pants for a carefree look and feel!
