Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!
I hope you celebrated this day either over the weekend or are planning something tonight. Even without a significant other, it’s a day to pamper yourself!
The traditional color associated with Valentine’s day is red, but I have always connected it with pink. So this week I will be sharing outfits that have a touch of pink. As I’ve mentioned many times (maybe too many! LOL) in past blogs, pink is a BIG color this spring and you will see it in all kinds of pieces. Since I can’t go out and shop for every trend, I will share how I style some of the pieces I already have. Fortunately, I wear pink well and already have quite a few items in my wardrobe. I’ll bet you do, too!
For today’s post, I am styling a casual outfit that I complemented with a pink jacket I have had for a few years. It is from Talbots (I’m pretty sure I got it on sale or with a discount), and it’s made with a double-faced wool fabric. I sometimes have trouble with wool, but this is a beautiful soft fabric that is very easy to wear.
I am styling the coat with a shirt, also from Talbots, that I bought at one of their end-of-season clearance sales–I think I paid $17 for it! I love the paisley and it has lots of great colors so goes with many things. My chinos are from JJill, and are also an old staple.
My good old Vince Camuto booties are just too comfy to pass up–I know you might be tired of seeing them! They also come in gray so I may have to pick up a pair.
I added my inexpensive teal bag as it picks up the teal in the paisley shirt. And, of course, it’s a great color with pink!
Well, I’m off to celebrate this day of love with my husband and my son. I hope you are getting and giving lots of love yourself–and not just today!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Sending a warm hug your way!
Warm regards,
Darlene
