Hello everyone!
With Spring in the air, it’s a fun time to try something new! Today I am styling a kimono-inspired topper with jeans and a mustard colored top. The current topper style is so fun and can take a pair of jeans and a top to another level with a whole new look.
This is a short version, and there are many that are longer as well. The kimono silouette is oversized and easy, with drop shoulders and bracelet-length sleeves. I love the flow of the fabric and the easy drape.
This floral version is from Target so it was fairly inexpensive. I think these toppers would look good on anyone!
The pattern in the fabric has lots of colors so could go with almost anything. Since I love yellow, I paired it with this sleeveless mustard blouson top. As I look at these pictures, I wonder how it might look over a black patterned or striped top? I know it would look good with pink or aqua, too.
I am wearing my dark gold wedge slides as they are a neutral color. My necklace and bracelet are from Patti Jo’s Pearls in Laguna Beach. I believe I mentioned before they were a gift from my friends there when I left my formal job in education, so I always think of those friends when I wear these pieces. Do you have jewelry from a friend or loved one that brings back memories? I’m sure we all do.
I’ve been thinking about trying out a longer topper as I’ve seen many versions at various price points. I think they add some fun and color to an outfit, don’t you?
I hope you have a wonderful day, and that you will check out tomorrow’s post. Thanks for taking the time to read this post and for subscribing to my blog.
Warm regards,
Darlene
