Happy Friday, everyone!
The weekend is here at last! I hope you had a wonderful week and have fun plans for the weekend ahead.
My plans for today include some holiday shopping. I have already done a great deal of my shopping online, but there are some items that I like to see in person. And it’s also a good way to see some of the trending looks and get ideas. It won’t be easy, however; going any distance in my lovely boot with crutches is exhausting. But it sure beats the first month when I couldn’t put any weight at all on my foot. I had no idea it would be so challenging and debilitating. But things are looking up as my foot starts to look normal again! The physical therapist called my foot a “Flintstone” foot and that is exactly what it looked like–a big chunky slab at the end of my leg! Haha! This is a minor issue compared to some of the challenges so many people face, and I am thankful that is will continue to heal and I will be walking normally again.
Like you, my favorite outfit for shopping is lightweight, doesn’t require a coat or sweater and has comfortable shoes. So, my outfit of choice is a tunic top and my favorite leggings.
These denim-look leggings (you can also see them here in a previous post) have quickly become a favorite. My tunic is from JJill from several years ago–an oldie but a goodie! Here are a few similar versions, and many are on sale!
These booties from Lands End are charcoal but can easily take on a blue cast when worn with blue. The heel height is just right for walking–and helps balance the sole of my beautiful boot! lol!
To keep this look from being too boring, I wrapped this batik scarf around the neck and added a multiple chain necklace that I bought at a local shop, made by a San Clemente artist.
SO, a comfy outfit in place and I am ready to shop! I just hope I can drag the leg around long enough to get some things done!
How many of you are already ready for Christmas? I have so many friends that are so organized and have it done already! I do like to save some things to shop for as we get closer to the holidays so I can get in the spirit!
Thanks for stopping by today!
