In the recent post, My Favorite Cover Ups, I mentioned one more I had my eye on–this adorable leopard ruffle cover-up! It can be styled so many ways, starting now with a swimsuit or shorts, and later over jeans and a shirt. Can’t beat that right?
Honestly, how often can one resist anything in animal print? I’ve never counted all the pieces I have in my closet but I’m guessing I have a rather large collection. How about you?
These amazing prints, whether leopard, zebra, cheetah, snake print, and so on, are definitely those pieces we call “workhorse.” We can style them year-round, as another “neutral” they look beautiful with almost anything, and they create a chic and stylish look.
There are lots of ways to style this cover-up, and I’m showing three here that are perfect for summer.
Three Ways to Style A Leopard Ruffle Cover-Up Now
This cover-up is a super luxurious look, due to the leopard print and gold accents, not to mention the other features. Like the tie waist, the elbow-length sleeves, and the ruffle hem. Irresistible!
While it’s described as a cover-up, it also styles like a kimono.
There are countless ways to style it in warm weather now, and into the fall with jeans or cords.
Leopard Ruffle Cover-Up Over Swimsuit
As the name–cover-up–implies, this is a very easy piece to throw over your swimsuit. It’s light and just translucent enough to show some suit but not TOO much to pass through the lobby or cover-up for lunch. YOU know what I mean!
Cover-Up With Shorts
With shorts, the cover-up serves as a super cute duster. Who can resist an animal-print duster, right? Wearing a long cardigan or duster over shorts is not only trendy, but it’s also a great way to dress up a simple short outfit, like these white shorts and cami.
Ruffled Cover-Up With Capris
Almost any duster-style cover-up will dress up a Capri outfit, and this one definitely does.
To create a more chic look, I added gold jewelry. The stud sandals give it some added bling!
Complimentary Beauty Products
I’m using that subtitle to let you know about my new lipstick and blush! Lol!
Apricotty is the newest shade of lipstick from Color The World. It’s such a pretty coral color with a touch of gold. To pump up the gold, I also applied a layer of Rose Gold lipstick over the top. These lipsticks are fun to mix and match to make new colors. The fact that they are vegan and moisturize your lips is a big selling point for me, as is the wide variety of shades.
With my last order, I also decided to try their new products: Bashful Blush and Afterglow Bronzer. Both products look lovely on the skin and are amazingly affordable! Do give them a try! The site has a listing of which colors work for your skin tone.
A gorgeous piece like this leopard ruffle cover-up, kimono, duster, whatever, is a versatile piece to have in your wardrobe. You will find countless ways to style it with pieces you already have in your closet.
