Happy Friday, everyone! Well, the Christmas holiday will be here in just a few days. It seems to take forever to make it to the holiday with all the preparations, but then it just flies by, doesn’t it?! So how about a bit of maroon for my last hurrah before Christmas?
This outfit is a remake of pieces from several others. You can check out those posts here and here. And the whole point of choosing fashion pieces is to find those that go with a number of pieces already in your wardrobe, right?
The maroon outfit
As I said before, you’ve seen both this sweater and pants before. In deciding on the color name, I had to look up the difference between burgundy and maroon. Burgundy is more red, while maroon tends toward claret with a touch a brown. Well, whatever it is, I do love the color! And I do tend to buy quite a bit of this color so I can mix and match.
I really love this soft chenille sweater from Target! They have quite a few cute ones which I shared in this earlier post. It is warm and cozy and the cocoon shape is trending.
Still loving these pink booties! They are one of the few pairs of shoes I can wear comfortably. I can’t wait until this darn foot gets back to normal. It is definitely a LONG process! And this cute little pink and gold bag is also from Target.
Once again, I am styling my gold choker and gold earrings with rose gold bling by Kendra Scott.
This is an older tunic top from J Jill. Knit tops like this are so versatile and never go out of style, so I use it often. And the slacks are from Chico’s.

Waiting for Christmas
Well, the presents are wrapped, the house is decorated, cookies are decorated, and the food is being prepped. Is that about the state of affairs at your house? Of course, there are just a couple more things I need to pick up, but that’s all part of the season. I hope that your Christmas is wonderful as you enjoy your family and friends and this very special holiday.
I’ll take a little break until next week when I’ll be styling a couple more new looks. Then the month of January will be devoted to re-styling the far too many pieces in my closet right now!
I hope you relax with a cup of coffee or tea and check out my posts next week as you recover from all the festivities. And I would appreciate any thoughts or suggestion you might have. Thanks to all of you for your amazing interest and support in my blogging adventure.
Happiest holidays and warm regards,
Darlene
