Happy Friday, everyone! As we slide into the weekend, it’s time for a fun pop of color. My go-to choice is–wait for it–yellow! Not surprised, are you? lol. Yellow is my happy color and I have found the shades that work for me. What shade of yellow works for you?
Today I am sharing how easy it is to take older pieces of your wardrobe and make them look new again. For this outfit, it is simple shorts, a two-tone tank, and sandals.
Once again I am styling an older pair of shorts from Talbots. Well-made pieces like a quality pair of shorts last for many years. My tank top is also an older piece (I think from Marshalls and I haven’t been there in years!), and I have always loved the contrast of white and yellow and the chiffon-like fabric.
By adding a new piece that is on trend, the whole outfit looks new again! The pom-pom straw clutch from Lulu’s that I linked to last week pulls the whole look together. An inexpensive little bag like this is one you can use all summer long.
I am wearing my Franco Sarto sandals mentioned in previous posts. They are such a nice, quality leather, and I am wearing them in both colors for many summer outfits. For accessories, I added only a yellow bracelet and silver disk earrings. Enough said.
You can see a yellow camisole peeking out under the top. As it is a little sheer, and the back has an open button detail, a cami is a must. The yellow cami adds another little pop of yellow under the sheer top.
I hope you are out there wearing your shorts on these warm summer days, and adding your favorite pop of color! That’s what summer is for!
Thanks for taking the time to check out today’s post. I hope you will check back in next time. As always, thanks for LIKING and SHARING my posts. I also appreciate that so many of you are following me on Pinterest, Instagram, and Facebook
Have a wonderful weekend doing what you like best!
Warmly,
Darlene
