Hello everyone,
Today I am styling some basic neutral pieces. Neutral tones are always in style, so it’s interesting to see how they continue to “trend.” You can see a lot of great looks on Pinterest, so take a look at my Pinterest Board for some new ideas: https://www.pinterest.com/aquamarinastyle/neutrals/
Neutrals include all shades of white, tan, brown, beige, and so on. Pieces that incorporate neutral tones, like leopard, zebra, lizard, cheetah and such pair beautifully and serve as another version of neutral. This includes belts, scarfs, shoes and bags.
The pieces I am sharing today are various shades of brown from mocha to tan with white jeans.
This top is made of a silky polyester from Chico’s. It’s a simple top that gets interest from the sleeve detail. This sleeve style is called a “petal” or “tulip” shape with overlapping edges and no underneath seam detail.
My wedges with block heels are by Franco Sarto. You can find them in many stores, including Nordstrom, but I actually picked these up at a great little shoe store in Laguna Beach called Tootsies. The owner/buyer does such a great job selecting quality shoes that are totally trending. I always find great shoes there. They also have bags, scarfs and a little jewelry. If you visit Laguna Beach, check it out!
For the next photos, I added a two-tone scarf. I like the way the soft tan and white tie the pieces together.
I think everyone looks good in neutral shades and we all have pieces in our closets. So, give it a try! I would love it if you would share your photos with me! Come on, you ALL have neutral pieces in your wardrobe, so put them together, take a photo, and send it to me at aquamarinastyle@gmail.com!
Until tomorrow…
Darlene
