Good morning!
Today I am continuing with my Denim Week styles and am styling an off shoulder top. I’m sure you’ve been seeing these everywhere as they are trending big time!
My top is by Dr2 and I purchased it at Nordstrom Rack. The fabric has dotted slubs for texture, and, as you can see, lace trim at the cuffs and hem. It is lined which I especially like as it helps it drape nicely and doesn’t require a tank underneath.
I have tried on quite a few off shoulder tops, and while they are all super cute, I think I would be thoughtful about where I might wear one. I could definitely see me adjusting the shoulder lower while on vacation or out to dinner or somewhere, but don’t see myself running around town with my shoulders and decollete exposed. I just can’t help it–I guess I’m conservative that way! SO, what I do like about this particular top is that you can adjust the elastic and keep it just off-shoulder or pull it down lower for special times. Here is a “lower” version:
My “snake” pattern clutch is an oldie, but a goodie.
And here is a more traditional shoulder look:
My jeans are my standard ankle style from Talbots Petites. My wedges are from Clarks–I bought them last spring. I could see dressing this look up with heels or styling it more casually with sandals, slides, tennies, or even flip-flops.
The shoulders here are the center point, so, for the most part, a necklace isn’t needed. Instead, I wore silver disk earrings and some basic bracelets for jewelry.
In the photos, you can see my new wood-look vinyl plank on the floor and stairs. I really love it! It’s easy to clean and totally waterproof, which is great with my old Schnauzer!
I have a few other off-shoulder tops that I will be styling in future posts as they are making such cute ones with great fabrics. sleeves and colors–both dressy and casual.
Until tomorrow! Have a great day.
Darlene
