Are you a shoe aficionado? I have always loved to try shoes that are different, shoes that make a statement, but as I have become more mature (well older–maybe not so mature? Lol!), comfort is part of the equation. Which is why I fell in love with these adorable pearl studded loafers.
This very fun style in shoes has been trending lately. It’s fun to see new looks in footwear and shoe designers are always trying to come up something new. Like these new studded styles. Have you noticed all the studded styles in shoes and handbags?
I did pick up some studded booties last season and styled them in this post. I also have them in black leather.
I’ve been eyeing some of the newest shoes and was so happy to these pearl studded loafers showed up in my last Trunk Club. It’s always fun to get unique items and Trunk Club is a great way to try them out before you buy.
Pearl Studded Loafers and White Pants Outfit
With the objective of showing off these fun loafers, I kept the rest of the outfit pretty simple. I’ve mentioned before that white pants are perfectly appropriate in the winter–in fact, year-round–and these ankle pants are no exception. They come in regular and petite and are moderately priced.
Of course, if you live in a colder climate, you would probably either wear these shoes with socks or tights and/or change from your warm “outside” boots to the flats once you reach your destination, right? You can tell I lived part of my teen years in Michigan, where the winters were cold and long!! Ha-ha!
The shoes are definitely pricey. You’ve probably noticed you have to pay a bit more for unique items!! Darn. But they certainly make a statement! And the glen plaid is totally on trend as well!
The pants are just fitted enough to be slimming but not too tight. You may have noticed that there is a bit of shift from all the skinnies to straight and even bootcut pant styles. That’s a welcome change, as it’s nice to change things up and vary your looks. You can wear these ankle pants for work or casual events, or even for a dressy outfit.
Burgundy Sweater | option | option
Burgundy or wine is such a versatile color as it goes with so many colors. And a vee-neck is always a great look. You could also wear a fitted blouse under a sweater like this which gives it a cute, preppy look.
Accessories: Pearls or Scarf?
I am styling the sweater with my new Indonesian pearls. We got them on our recent trip for a song. I have no idea of their quality but love the way they look with the mix of white and grey.
Of course, a blanket scarf would look fabulous and make it a true winter outfit! There are so many plaid patterns with touches of burgundy and at very inexpensive prices. You can find a cute, inexpensive version here.
Burgundy Tote (comes in 5 colors!)
A burgundy tote bag completes the look. It’s perfect for carrying the loafers or anything else you might need. This is a very inexpensive bag from my favorite designer store: Target!
The topper: a plaid coat
I neglected to show you how stylish this outfit would look with a black plaid coat! Mine is an unlined one from TopShop which works for my climate–you can see it in this post from last year. There are SO many beautiful ones available this season. A couple of examples are HERE and HERE. Check out this adorable red plaid coat–very affordable!
How are you styling your outfits this winter?
Love,
Oh I love the shoes, even better with the gorgeous pearls on them. Thanks for sharing on #chicandstylish #linkup Jacqui Mummabstylish
Hi, Jacqui,
I know, aren’t they fun?! The pearl embellishments takes a cute plaid to another level, doesn’t it? Thanks for sponsoring your Link Up. It’s always fun to see what you are styling!

Great look, I love burgundy and white together. The shoes are lovely, I also look for comfort but try to find shoes with a bit of edge or interest. I’d love to see you at my weekly #WowOnWednesday link up!
Hi, Gail,
Thanks so much! You capture my goal entirely–to blend comfort and style with a bit of edginess!
I will definitely see you on your Wednesday Link Up! Thank you,
