Do you like pineapples? I don’t mean to eat, although I do like to eat them as well. But how about on your clothes? I’m an absolute nut about anything with a pineapple print. To me, it just feels like the tropics. Like this pineapple sweater tee. Part knit sweater in a tee style with a pineapple motif. And it even has a few sequins, just for fun! It’s a perfect summer top.
Two more days until the official start of summer. My friends in Texas and the South are already talking about the heat they are having. There is a crazy heat wave in the East, too. Even here in SoCal where we’re getting some beautiful sunny days instead of our usual June Gloom. (I hope I didn’t jinx it here!) Now about that top…
The pineapple sweater tee
Even in the summer, a little bit of sweater is a good thing. For air-conditioned rooms (like the Mall–when you’re shopping, of course!) and evening dinners outside, a little sweater is all it takes. I am loving the soft sweater knit of this top, and the tee-shirt shape makes it so easy to throw on and go!
Best of all, this top is on sale for 40% off! Naturally, I picked mine up before it was on sale. Ugh.
A colorful shoulder bag gives this outfit some contrast. This was a Stitch Fix bag and I love that it goes with so many things in my closet! You can see a glimpse of Scooter’s ears in the bottom right. My sidekick!!
These denim espadrilles are so comfortable. And we know denim goes with everything, right? If you are looking for a flat espadrille, these might work for you. They are from Lands End and are also 40% off right now!
Once again, I am styling my current favorite shorts. I have been sharing them in many recent posts (check them out here and here), and they are a great fit at a great price. Black shorts can be hard to find, so I grabbed these as soon as I saw them. Yay, Target!
I bought these in my usual size, a size 6, and there is still a generous fit which I like. And again, they are a very nice chino fabric that washes up beautifully.
Excuse the “dead” area behind me. We are working on new plantings for our whole yard (garden, as my EU friends like to say!) at present. So things are in a bit of flux at the moment. The plumeria has been around a long time. We’ve moved it twice now! It started out as a 10-inch stick that we bought on a trip to Hawaii–probably 25 years ago!! Yikes! We have planted many of the offshoots around our yard and they are all coming in nicely.
You can also see that I am once again styling MY legs. With all their imperfections!! They are simply the best legs I’ve got so I am wearing them!! Lol! I hope you will wear yours, too!
If you like pineapple prints, be sure to check out this pineapple sweater tee!
Check in Friday for another short outfit. Happy first day of Summer on Thursday!
