Hello, my friends,
Happy Friday to all! I hope you have super fun plans for the weekend!
As promised, I will show another look with a purchase from Nordstrom. This piece, however, was a sale piece from end-of-summer and not a part of the pre-fall sale, but the plaid fabric makes it one that works now and into the fall. It always seems a bit strange in a warmer climate like Southern California to start choosing wardrobe pieces for fall in JULY! But we all understand that the fashion industry–like many others–is always at least one season ahead in order to market their lines. And, of course, it’s fun to start selecting some key trending pieces for our wardrobe before they start showing for the following season, right?
Plaid is one of those versatile patterns that look right in any season. And the bright blue of this pattern is a color that is flattering on everyone. You really can’t go wrong with a nice plaid piece in any season. As you can see below, it is definitely a top that can go from summer to fall.
Worn with denim shorts and sandals, it is a great look for summer or even a warm fall day. And the leather tan sandals and clutch are the perfect shade with the blue tones in the top and shorts.
It can also be a great look this fall. Just add a pair of great-fitting jeans and some booties, and you are ready to go!
The tan suede booties and two-tone bag are the perfect shoes and accessories to make this a look for fall.
For both outfits, I kept the jewelry super simple with gold earrings and a gold choker from Kendra Scott. I picked up a few of her earrings and necklaces from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Simple gold, silver, and rose gold jewelry is showing a lot this fall. I’ll bet you all have a collection of this in your jewelry box already, so just pull them out! Am I right?
Thanks for taking the time to check out today’s post. I hope you will check back in tomorrow. As always, thanks for LIKING and SHARING my posts. I also appreciate that so many of you are following me on Pinterest, Instagram, and Facebook.
Happy weekend!
Darlene
