Hello from Portland, Oregon!
We have arrived here in Portland during a massive heat wave! The sky, normally beautiful and blue, has been blocked out by smoke from fires in Canada, and the heat is holding it in place. However, it is still a beautiful, fun city and a great place to visit.
Portland has been named The City of Roses, in honor of the world renowned Internation Rose Test Garden. That garden is part of Washington Park in the NW hills and spreads over 4.5 acres. It was established in 1917.
With the high temperatures, I wore my cute black and white ruffle hem top from Old Navy. It is now on sale for $6! How gorgeous are these roses!!
The beauty of this garden is something you must see if you visit Portland. The flowers and park are truly extraordinary. I’m also wearing my white scallop-hem shorts from Talbots–they are also on sale! You can see these items here:
Below is a view from the park of the downtown skyline. I am so bummed with the air quality as normally you can an amazing view of Mt. Hood.
Even on a scorching hot day, it was worth visiting the Rose Garden. I just had to pick up this cute graphic tee!
My bright pink cheeks match the hot pink in the tee! Haha!
Thanks for taking the time to check out today’s post. I hope you will check back in tomorrow for some more views of Portland. As always, thanks for LIKING and SHARING my posts. I also appreciate that so many of you are following me on Pinterest, Instagram, and Facebook.
