Hi, everyone! This post marks the end of our little desert trip, and, as promised, I am sharing some photos of the pool area at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells. Almost anywhere you look in this area, there are beautiful mountains in the background as you can see here.
Being a weekday, and the fact that the Coachella Music Festival ended on Sunday, meant that there weren’t too many people on the property. Nice!
Now, about that bathing suit issue! I don’t know about you, but I am VERY excited that the higher waisted suits are trending this year. They remind me of old Hollywood and look flattering on almost everyone. While I won’t be styling one in person for you, I do have a photo of my swim outfit. First of all is a shot of me headed for the pool. My beach cover-up is a simple Mossimo dress from Target. I love how I can literally roll it in a ball in my suitcase! Again, the hat is by Eric Javits for Nordstrom.
Under my cover-up is this swimsuit, pictured below. (Sorry–I am not confident enough to include a picture of me in my swimsuit! Years of conditioning, to be sure!) My suit is from Lands End. It is a ruched high waist bikini bottom with an underwire sweetheart bikini top. I have bought my swimsuits from Lands End for years. I love how you can mix and match patterns, sizes and styles since you buy each piece separately. They have added lots of styles, colors, and patterns over the past few years, along with cover-ups, rash guards, shorts, beach bags, and so on. I usually wear a swimsuit with lots of color, but the black in the high waist style is so retro, I just couldn’t resist!
I am seeing lots of styles this year that are fun and colorful. You can check them out on my Pinterest page here: https://www.pinterest.com/aquamarinastyle/stunning-swimwear/
Here is a night photo of the grounds. So pretty!
Finally, here are some photos of the changing terrain from the coast to the desert in Southern California. Lots of green, colorful rocks and mountains, and pretty blue skies!
I hope you enjoyed hearing about my short trip to the desert and that it inspires you to go there soon! The desert has a special feel and it is so relaxing looking at the palm trees and the mountains. Go soon–you deserve it!!
