Happy Friday, my friends! Today’s post will show you that I really am ready for Spring! Even though it was a rather chilly day today! If you are planning a warm getaway this Spring, I have the look for you! And there is really nothing that says vacation better than a floral dress with a colorful print, so that’s what I am styling today!
Floral dress for Spring
Heading out on a cruise or Hawaiian or Bahamian trip? Do you have your wardrobe ready? This cute ponte knit dress fits the bill perfectly. I am always a sucker for a bright floral print, and when I saw the beautiful colors in this one, I thought I had better grab it fast. This floral dress is a cute find from my old favorite–Lands End–and is a soft cotton fabric that you can throw in your suitcase and not worry too much about wrinkles.
There are so many colors you can play on in this print. I chose to carry a coral sweater with cute ruching on the sleeves to bring out the pretty pinks and colors in the print. Here is a version with lots of color choices!
This column-style dress is one that would look good on anyone, It’s just a simple column with a self-fabric belt, so it’s easy to style.
Nude wedge heels seemed like a good neutral with the busy print of the dress. I can see this with cute flat sandals and a cute summer hat, too!
With a longer dress, you need to be careful of the proportion of the sweater This one is slightly cropped with a rounded hem, so it works with a dress like this.
Accessories consist of some fun longer earrings (similar here) in blues and greens and an antique gold cuff bracelet (similar here).
Could you see yourself in a floral dress like this in a warm tropical location? Sure makes me want to plan a trip soon!
