I’ve been on a bit of a brown kick lately, which made this version of my moto jacket and turtleneck sweater easy to envision. And white jeans? A great choice for creating fashionable outfits year-round.
On a recent trip to my closet, I spotted this snake print moto jacket and immediately pictured it with my cozy brown turtleneck. For pants, my white mom jeans seemed like a great choice.
Here’s a great tip for styling white jeans. White jeans can visually magnify your lower body, so if you’re on the curvy side, stick to lighter colored tops when you’re wearing white jeans. Probably a good tip for all of us, though I am violating that tip today! Lol!
In a recent inventory of my closet, I counted more than two moto jackets. There’s a good reason for that: because they are such a great way to style a basic jeans or trouser outfit! They also look amazing over dresses and skirts as they are typically cut a bit shorter than a regular-length jacket.
My Restyled Moto Jacket and Turtleneck Sweater Outfit
The Moto Jacket
When this unique snakeskin moto jacket from Free People arrived some time ago in a Trunk Club selection, I loved it at first glance. The best thing about this kind of clothing service is when unusual items are included and I usually go for those over choosing basic pieces.
Surprisingly, there are a few still available out there if you are looking for something a little different! Here is the link for sizes small and large: Faux Leather Snakeskin Moto Jacket.
White Jeans
The jeans are designed in the “mom” style which is a good fit for me. A mom jean is a tapered leg, a high rise, and is fitted through the hip and thigh. This is the same style as for a ’90s “mom” silhouette. Maybe that’s why I like them so much! Lo! They harken back to when my son was little and my lifestyle was mostly that of a mom! A working mom, however.
This particular pair has a raw hem, but they still manage to look finished as they are cut perfectly and little fringe.
You definitely can’t go wrong with any shade of white jeans. You can style them year-round–with sweaters and jackets in the winter and tees and floral tops in the summer. They always look appropriate and just a bit more dressed up than a basic indigo blue jean.
Turtleneck Sweater
You may remember this soft chocolate brown turtleneck sweater from the post Two Pieces Three Ways: Trousers and Turtleneck Sweater. In that post, I styled it with brown trousers for a tonal look that always works. Of course, the beauty of purchasing matching tonal pieces is the ability to style them together and with other items in your closet.
Snake print is a trend that is definitely here to stay. Like all animal prints, they reflect the beautiful patterns of nature, which makes them hard to dislike. So, I decided to double down on the snake print in this look with snake print booties. The neutral tones in the booties are a nice complement to the rest of the outfit and the print is just different enough to avoid a too matchy-matchy look.
A camel belt is the final piece to lighten the look.
There are some sizes available around the net, and I’ve linked as many as I can find here. I’ve also linked similar pieces, just in case there is a piece you might be looking for:
White Jeans | Brown Sweater (Sweater option 1/Sweater option 2/Sweater option 3)
| Snake Print Booties | Camel Belt
Happy closet shopping, my friends! Pull out your moto jacket and add your favorite turtleneck for a warm yet stylish winter look.
Hi Darlene!
We must must have had white jeans on the brain lately! I really love this look with the warm brown tones. A favorite is the neutrals with white. The mom jeans look great! I love how you doubled the look of the snakeskin moto ( an eye catching piece) with the booties! You look mahvalous 🙂

Fabulous, Darlene! You create such great proportions with the moto jacket, and the snakeskin boots add a bit of edge. I wouldn’t describe you as curvy – you always look enviably svelte my friend!
Thanks for the comments, Gail. I’m not really curvy, just kind of straight with a little extra here and there! Lol! I do like the proportions provided by a moto jacket. Have a great week!
