Happy Monday, everyone!
I’ve been having a great time with my BFF and our husbands in Leland, Michigan. They are so good about showing us all the great spots and driving us around Northern Michigan!
Today, however, is about boating out of Leland. We are staying on the Leland River which connects Lake Leelanau to Lake Michigan. However, the river is dammed at Fishtown, which is the harbor area in Leland. It is such a quaint little town and has become very popular in the summer months!
Here is the end of the Leland River, at Fishtown (Leland). It is SO beautiful!
To dress for the occasion, Kathi and I are wearing our ‘blonde’ and ‘brunette’ cold shoulder sweatshirts. Nothing like stylin’ on the river! I wasn’t able to purchase these during the Anniversary Sale so paid a bit more, but they are so fun! You can take a look at “The Blonde” version here and “The Brunette” version here so you can get one for yourself and your BFF. (There are plain sweatshirt versions, too.)
After a short jaunt down the river, we enter the lake. Lake Leelanau has a north and south end joined by a “narrows” in between.
You can see what a beautiful area of the country this is. We spent a wonderful afternoon on the lake, and although our friends have taken us on this ride several times, we love it just as much every time! Great friends, a beautiful spot and a lovely boat ride–what could be better?
